Marlene Jameson

ALBUQUERQUE — Services for Marlene Jameson, 55, will be 1 p.m., Friday, March 19, at Rollie Mortuary. Jimmie A. Etcitty will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.

Jameson died Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Albuquerque. She was born March 22, 1954, in Crownpoint, into the Towering House People Clan for the Black Streak Wood People Clan.
Jameson attended Mariano Lake, Crownpoint Boarding School and Gallup public schools. She worked at Lota Burger, Thunderbird Motel and TG&Y. She received the You Are a Hero Award from the NM Cancer Care Alliance.

Survivors include her husband, Peter Jameson of Albuquerque; sons, Terrence Johnson of Tucson, Perren Jameson of Albuquerque; daughters, Jolene Svoboda of Los Lunas, Petrice Jameson of Albuquerque; mother, Frances Johnson of Albuquerque; brother, Ben Johnson; nine grandchildren.

Jameson was preceded in death by her father, Ben Johnson Sr.; sister, Rita Johnson; grandmother, Grace Long Paige.

Pallbearers will be Terrence Johnson, Perren Jameson, Robert Svoboda, Virgil Vandever, Daryl Hughter, Freddie Holiday.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Bethany Christian Reformed Church, Gallup, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Gibert Lee

CHURCHROCK — Funeral services for Gilbert Lee, 49, will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 19, at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. The Rev. Ted Charles will officiate. Burial will be in private land, Churchrock.

Lee died March 14, 2010, in Churchrock. He was born Sept. 26, 1960, in Gallup, into the Mountain Cove People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.

Lee attended school in Wingate. He was employed as a silversmith, road constructor and worked for the railroad. He enjoyed playing with local bands and going fishing, dancing, spending time with his children, helping his parents around the house and listening to Walyon music.

Survivors include his son, Johnny Lee; daughters, Georgenna Lee, Gaberial Lee, Wyonna Lee; parents, Jim and Alice Lee; brothers, Thomas, Jay, Raymond, Kenneth, Ernest, Roger; sisters, Mary, Susie, Betty, Marlene, Brenda Lee.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Lee, Kenneth Lee, Bronson Jim, Tommy Lee, Terry Delgarito, Ernest Lee.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Churchrock Chapter House, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Pete Peshlakai

MARIANO LAKE — Memorial services for Pete Peshlakai, 57, will be 10 a.m., Friday, March 19, at Mariano Lake Bible Ministry Church. The Rev. Jones Dehiya will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Mariano Lake.

Peshlakai died March 13, 2010, in Gallup. He was born July 2, 1952, in Crownpoint, into the Deer Springs People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Peshlakai attended Brigham City, Utah and CIT, Crownpoint. He worked as a construction roofer during his lifetime and liked to go to rodeos and listen to country music.

Survivors include his daughters, Shawnaaron Billy of Window Rock, Tanya Tsosie of Chesapeake, Vir.; brother, Paul Peshlakai of Fort Defiance; sister, Nancy Chiquito of Mariano Lake; four grandchildren.

Peshlakai was preceded in death by his father, Chee Peshlakai Sr.; mother, Mae Gray.
Pallbearers will be Vincent Chiquito, Terry Chiquito, Thomas Chiquito Jr., Lorenzo Chiquito, Jason Chiquito, Melvin Willie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Mariano Lake Chapter House, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Amos Shirley

PINEDALE — Services are pending for Amos D. Shirley, 45.

Shirley died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, in Gallup. He was born Aug. 3, 1964, in Gallup.

A family gathering will be 4:30 p.m., today, March 18, at Pinedale Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
