Aaron Brown
CHINLE — Funeral services for Aaron Herman Brown, 35, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 13, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Chinle. Bishop Rudy Yellowhair will officiate.
Burial will be in Chinle Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9 a.m., one hour prior to services.
Brown died March 7, 2010, in Santa Fe. He was born Nov. 21, 1974, in Fort Defiance, into the Edgewater/Salt People Clan for the Sleeping Rock/Bitter Water People Clan.
Brown attended school in Orem, Utah and was currently attending school at Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, majoring in creative writing. He has constructed fiction stories as well as poetry. He was an adventurous traveler and has lived and touched lives in Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico.
Survivors include his parents, Freddie H. Brown, Colleen C. Brown, both of St. Michaels; brothers, Beau Brown of Albuquerque, Freddie Brown Jr. of St. Michaels; sisters, Janette Brown of St. Michaels, Elizabeth Brown of Tucson, Cynthia Brown of St. Michaels; grandparents, Grant R. Benally, Louise Benally of Chinle.
Brown was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tsosie H. Brown, Mary E. Brown.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, following services.

GALLUP — Services are pending for Dan Jim, 60.
Jim died Thursday, March 11, 2010, in Gallup. He was born June 20, 1949, in Gallup.

Dan Jones
THOREAU — Funeral services for Dan Jones, 94, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 13, at Maranatha Assembly of God Church, Winslow. The Rev. Tom White will officiate. Burial will be in Desert View Cemetery, Winslow.
Jones died March 10, 2010, in Thoreau. He was born June 22, 1915, in Breadsprings, into the Salt People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
Jones was a Private First Class, Company B, 185th Infantry, World War II Army veteran and received the Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation (2 bronze stars), Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon (3 bronze stars and 1 bronze arrowhead; American Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged on July 26, 1945. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad in 1978.
Survivors include his wife, Zonnie Jones; sons, Gene Jones of Thoreau, Clint Smith of Phoenix; daughters, Lillie Kelly of Leupp, Louise Brown of Winslow, Mary Ann O’Neal of Albuquerque, Alice James of Thoreau, Daisy Thompson of Gallup, Lucinda Jones of Thoreau, Melissa DeGroat of Fort Wingate; 92 grandchildren.
Jones was preceded in death by his son, Harry Lee.
Pallbearers will be Lennox Kelly, Shonie O’Neal, Micah Thompson, Leland Brown, Adrian Jones, Isaac Wilbur, Danielle DeGroat.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Maranatha Assembly of God Church, following services.
Florence Lynch
KLAGETOH — Funeral services for Florence Tsosie Lynch, 80, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 13, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church. Burial will be in MacCarroll Cemetery, Chambers.
Lynch died March 8, 2010, in Fort Defiance. She was born Sept. 24, 1929, in Klagetoh, into the Towering House People Clan for the Big Water People Clan.
Lynch attended Ganado Mission and was retired from the BIA.
Survivors include her sons, William Lynch, Burt Lynch, Jack Lynch, Stewart Lynch; daughter, Flora Quahi; parents, Jim and Nasbah Tsosie; brother, Kee Tsosie; sisters, Ellen Wince, Ellavina Perkins; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Lynch was preceded in death by her husband, William Lynch Sr.; one granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lynch, Cyle Quahi, Charley Perkins, Christopher Quahi.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, following services.

Ruth Narron
GALLUP — Services for Ruth Edna Narron, 84, will be 1 p.m., Sunday, March 14, at First Baptist Church, Gallup. The Rev. Jay McCollum will officiate.
Narron died March 7, 2010, in Gallup. She was born Aug. 18, 1925, in Scottsburg, Ind.
Narron was a house wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent many years painting quilt blocks, piecing quilts, hand-quilting and sewing treasures for her family and friends.
She appreciated her visitors and enjoyed reading, crossword and word search puzzles.
Survivors include her sons, Don Daily of Bluewater, Wiley Daily of Gallup; daughters, PeeWee Ulibarri, Cookie Villegas, both of Gallup, Peggy Lewis of Oakland, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren.
Narron was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Narron; three daughters; two sons.
Del Peshlakai
NASCHITTI — Memorial services for Del Lynn “Baby” Peshlakai, 19, were 10 a.m., today, March 12, at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church, Rehoboth. Jerome Sandoval officiated.
Peshlakai died March 6, 2010, in Santa Fe. She was born March 7, 1990, in Gallup, into the Towering House People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Peshlakai graduated with honors top 10 from Newcomb High School in 2008. She was a member of the National Honor Society. She participated in basketball, volleyball, softball and track. Peshlakai enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, riding horses, reading, dancing, listening to music and rodeos.
Survivors include her parents, David Peshlakai, Darlene Thomas, both of Naschitti; brothers, Shawn Begay, David Peshlakai Jr.; sisters, Darnell Peshlakai, Danell Peshlakai, Angeline Allison, DeLacey Peshlakai.
Peshlakai was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lee and Grace Peshlakai, Mabel and John Thomas.
Pallbearers were Adrian Manning, Dustin Alamanza, Bahe Henio, Nolan Peshlakai, Cornelius Tsipai, Cecil John, Eric Vallo.

DeShauna Peshlakai
NASCHITTI — Memorial services for DeShauna Lynn “Brat” Peshlakai, 17, were 10 a.m., today, March 12, at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church, Rehoboth. Jerome Sandoval officiated.
Peshlakai died March 5, 2010, in Santa Fe. She was born July 18, 1992, in Albuquerque, into the Towering House People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Peshlakai was a senior at Newcomb High School.
She was a member of the National Honor Society and participated in basketball and volleyball. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, riding horses, listening to music and being on the internet and rodeos.
Survivors include her parents, David Peshlakai, Darlene Thomas, both of Naschitti; brothers, Shawn Begay, David Peshlakai Jr.; sisters, Darnell Peshlakai, Danell Peshlakai, Angeline Allison, DeLacey Peshlakai.

Mattie Richardson
GALLUP — Funeral services for Mattie Lee Richardson, 90, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 13, at First Baptist Church, Gallup. The Rev. Jay McCollum will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.
Richardson died March 8, 2010, in Gallup. She was born Dec. 20, 1919, in Grandview, Texas.
Richardson came to Gallup with her husband and taught school in the McKinley County School District. She was active with First Baptist Church where she did everything from teaching Sunday school classes to preparing meals for church social events, to helping plan and organize many summers of Vacation Bible School. As Vice President of Richardson’s Trading Co. and Cash Pawn, Inc., she and her husband were responsible for creating and growing one of the most unique trading posts in the world.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Richardson; daughters, Sue Keeler, Frances Richardson; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Richardson was preceded in death by her parents, Ross Holland, Ruth Holland; brother, Truett F. Holland.
Pallbearers will be Billy Keeler, Bradley Keeler, Jason Arsenault, Jason Null.

Ramsey Smith
JONES RANCH — Funeral services for Ramsey Kee Smith, 29, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 13, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. The Rev. Joseph Lee will officiate. Burial will be in family land, Manuelito Canyon.
Smith died March 7, 2010, in Gallup. He was born April 16, 1980, in Gallup, into the Mexican People Clan for the Sleeping Rock People Clan.
Smith graduated from high school and was a laborer in all construction fields. His hobbies included spending time with his daughter.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Wero; daughter, Makayla W. Smith; mother, Alberta Smith; brother, Sylvan Williams; sister, Christina Houston; grandparents, Ben and Rose Lee Yazzie of Manuelito Canyon, Robert Catron Sr. of Navajo.
Smith was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Kee Smith; son, Elijah Wero Smith.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Benally, Anthony Yazzie, Brad Catron, Buhanam Benally.
