No emergency funds,
but plenty for conference, food

WINDOW ROCK — Though Navajo Department of Emergency Management couldn’t come up with money for the recent winter weather emergency, it did receive approval Monday for $30,000 to pay for catering and audio visual equipment rental for a conference which begins today in New Mexico.

The Intergovernmental Relations Committee voted 10-0 Monday to approve a 2008 Homeland Security grant of $30,000 to cover the rental and catering expenses at the 2010 New Mexico Homeland Security and Emergency Management Conference at Buffalo Thunder Resort & Casino in Pojoaque...
