Jimmy Apache
ALAMO — Funeral services for Jimmy Dale Apache, 42, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, at North Gate Church, Alamo. Burial will be in U.F.O. Cemetery, Alamo.
Apache died March 3, 2010, in Albuquerue. He was born Dec. 12, 1967, in Socorro, into the Tower House People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Apache attended Magdalena High School and TVI Albuquerque. He enjoyed cooking, art work, and being outdoors.
Survivors include his sons, Landon Apache, Thiamen Apache; daughters, Sheldina Apache, Rhiannon Apache; parents, Nelson and Bessie Apache; brothers, Johnson Apache of Fort Bragg, N.C., Ricky Apache of Socorro; sisters, Mary Ann Lee of Ruidoso, Anna Smiley of Alamo, Lavell Apache of Alamo, Geraline Russell of Socorro, Margie Apache of Navajo.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Nelson and Bessie Apache’s residence, following services.
Phil DeHerrera
GRANTS — Funeral Mass for Phil Frank DeHerrera, 82, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will be in Grants Memorial Park. The Rev. Alberto Avella will officiate. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., today, March 9, at Compassion Mortuary.
DeHerrera died March 6, 2010, in Grants. He was born June 4, 1927, in Antonito, Colo.
Survivors include his children, Phil DeHerrera, Jimmy DeHerrera, Connie Jaramillo, Joseph DeHerrera, all of Grants, Alfred DeHerrera of Milan, George DeHerrera, Bobby DeHerrera, both of Albuquerque, Fernando DeHerrera of Farmington, Cathy DeHerrera of Pueblo, Colo., Delores Jaramillo of Las Vegas, Nev.; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
DeHerrera was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Della DeHerrera.
Pallbearers will be Duane DeHerrera, Adrian DeHerrera, Marcos DeHerrera, Dominic DeHerrera, Serafin DeHerrera, Eloy Romero, Derek Dominguez, Donovan Dominguez.

SHEEP SPRINGS — Services are pending for Louis Jim John, 46.
John died Monday, March 8, 2010, in Sheep Springs. He was born Oct. 7, 1963, in Shiprock, into the Red Running Into Water People Clan for the Folded Arms People Clan.

John Kee
RED ROCK — Funeral services for John Kee, 82, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. The Rev. Terri Goodin will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Kee died March 5, 2010, in Red Rock. He was born July 15, 1927, in Mentmore, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Meadow People Clan.
Kee worked at Tobe Turpens Trading Co. as a silversmith and made Kachinas. His hobbies included working with wood, carving hogans and being around his animals.
Survivors include his wife, Fannie Kee; sons, Phillip John, Eddie John, Ernest John, Emerson John, Auggie John; daughter, Mary A. John; brothers, Billie John, Gee John; sisters, Emma Baker, Minnie Plummer; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Kee was preceded in death by his parents, Joe John, Habah John; brother, Chee John; sister, Annie Joe; son, Tom R. John.
Pallbearers will be Eddie John, Ernest John, Emerson John, Auggie John, Jay Spencer, Sam Bowie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the family gathering center, following services.

Finley Nelson
JEDDITO — Services for Finley Nelson, 98, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Keams Canyon. The Rev. Clayton Kilburn’cm will officiate. Burial will be in Jeddito Community Cemetery. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m., March 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Nelson died March 6, 2010, Winslow. He was born Feb. 23, 1912, in Echo Canyon, into the Cliff Dwelling People Clan for the Water Edge People Clan.
Nelson was a WWII veteran and served in the Philippine Islands campaign South Pacific war and received the Purple Heart. He was a traditional medicine man.
Survivors include his sons, Vernon Nelson, Raymond Nelson, Anley Nelson, Dale Nelson, Danny Nelson; daughters, Sarah Nelson Begay, Sadie Nelson Attakai; 39 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Nelson was preceded in death by Edith Kaye Nelson.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Nelson, Dallas Nelson, Nathaniel Nelson, Cotton Nelson, Joe S. Begay, Leo Begay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Nelson’s residence, Jeddito, following services.
