Joe Baca

ALBUQUERQUE — Services for Joe Samuel Baca, 55, were 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 3, at Santa Fe National Cemetery with military honors. Evening service was at 7 p..m, Tuesday, March 2, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Blvd. The Rev. Gerry Steinmtz, OFM officiated. Visitation was 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 2.

Baca died Feb. 28, 2010, in Albuquerque. He was born April 3, 1954, in Clovis.

Baca was a United States Army Veteran, serving as a paratrooper attaining the rank of Sergeant.

He was a member of the American Legion Post # 49. He worked for B & H locksmith. He enjoyed Elvis, bingo, watching pro-wrestling, Western movies, and was a collector of Pegasus items.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Heckler Baca of Albuquerque; sons, Joe Baca Jr. of Melrose, Minn., David Baca of Albuquerque; daughters, Christine Kleve of Plainville, Minn., Denicia Baca of Warren, Penn.; brothers, Nick Baca of Grants, Ralph Baca of Grants, Vincent Baca of Albuquerque, Paul Baca of Grants, Wilfred Baca of Albuquerque, Robert Baca of Albuquerque, Alfred Baca of Grants, Ricky Baca of Lubbock, Texas, Rudy Baca of Grants; sisters, Margie Gabaldon of Grants, Kathy Saucedo of Gallup, Phyllis Martinez of Espanola, Patsy Martinez of Espanola, Dorothy Heckler of Los Lunas, Tessie Radcliffe of Grants, Tina Pena of Grants; six grandchildren.

Baca was preceded in death by his parents, Nick and Mela Baca; brother, Max Baca.

Pallbearers were Ron Coleman, Alfred Baca, Robert Baca, Paul Baca, Rudy Baca, and Brian Heckler.

Anna Bebo

CROWNPOINT — Services are pending for Anna K. Bebo, 99.

Bebo died Wednesday, March 3, 2010, in Albuquerque. She was born Aug. 11, 1910, in Fort Defiance, into the Black Streak Forest People Clan for the One Who Walks Around People Clan.

Lenora Cedillo

GANADO — Services for Lenora Cedillo, 47, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 6, at Bethal Navajo Baptist Church. Burial will be in Ganado Community Cemetery. Visitation will be at Bethal Navajo Baptist Church.

Cedillo died Feb. 28, 2010, in Phoenix. She was born June 19, 1962, in Ganado, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.

Cedillo was self-employed as a house cleaner.

She was a member of the Native American Church. She enjoyed sports and weaving rugs.

Survivors include her sons, Fernando Dick, Faron Begaye, Orlando Begaye, Florencio Cedillo; daughters, Jeanelle Cedillo, Jaquelyn Cedillo, Raquel Cedillo; parents, Kee Dick, Mae Dick; brother, Dickie Bahe; sister, Laura Sacatero; grandparents, John Sam, Mariam Sam, Kee Wagnor; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Fernando Begaye, Orlando Begaye, Chestor Begaye, Brian Yazzie, Andy Dick, William Pete.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Mae Dick’s residence, Steamboat, 7 miles west of Burnside Jct., following services.

Lacie Joe

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Funeral services for Lacie Rocky Joe, 41, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 6, at The Door Christian Center, Gallup.

The Rev. Bob Manmen will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.

Joe died Feb. 26, 2010, in Gallup. He was born March 19, 1968, in Pocatello, Idaho, into the Sleep Rock People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Joe attended school in Idaho and Arizona. He was a restaurant chef. He enjoyed cooking, watching movies, listening to music, taking walks, spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his sons, Kevin Billie of Gallup, Jeremy Rocky Joe of Gallup, Joshua Rocky Joe of Idaho Falls; daughters, Melanie M. Huazano of Gallup, Melissa A. Joe of Gallup, Jasmine L. Joe of Vanderwagen, Gena Marie Joe of Idaho Falls, Jocelyn Joe of Idaho Falls; parents, Ben M. Joe, Loretta J. Naswood, Leo Naswood; brothers, Vincent Rocky Joe, Leon Rocky Joe, Benjamin Miguel Joe, all of Idaho Falls; sisters, Lougene Becerra, Lorenda J. Cervantes, Laronna E. Naswood, all of Idaho Falls, Larvina Gamino of Blackfoot, Idaho; nine grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Leandrew L. Naswood; grandmother, Margaret Joe.

Pallbearers will be Vincent Joe, Kevin Billie, Jeremy Joe, Justin Joe, Troy Vandever, Mauricio Cervantes.

Navora Miller

GRANTS — Rosary and Funeral Mass for Navora Miller, 88, were 10:30 a.m., today, March 5, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Cubero. Burial will be in Cubero Community Cemetery.

Miller died Feb. 28, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nev. She was born Oct. 1, 1921, in Cubero.

Miller attended school in Cubero and Grants.

Survivors include her son, Martin Borthagaray of Grants; daughters, Anna Ruth, Veneranda “Bibee” Ortega, Jeana Salazar, all of Nevada; brother, Mike Aragon; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Miller was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Miller; parents, Amado and Veneranda Sarracino; brother, Joe Sarracino; sister, Beatrice Otero McBride.

Pallbearers were John Ortega, Paul Salazar, Martin Salazar, Marty Borthagaray, Gino Borthagaray, Arch Ruth.

Cheryl Pinto

SUNDANCE — Funeral services for Cheryl Jean Pinto, 32, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 6, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. Joey Basey will officiate.

Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

Pinto died March 3, 2010, in Gallup. She was born May 17, 1977, in Zuni, into the Meadow People Clan for the Yucca Fruit People Clan.
Pinto held various jobs in Gallup and Albuquerque.

She attended Gallup High School. Her hobbies included making jewelry.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Arviso; daughter, Chanikia Arviso; parents, David Tacheney, Lena Pinto; brothers, Duane Pinto, Byron Tacheney, Myron Tacheney, Marcus Yazzie, Delbert Yazzie; sister, Shelby Tacheney; grandmother, Rena Pinto.

Pinto was preceded in death by her grandfather, Eddie Pinto; father, Roy Yazzie; son, Aaron J. Arviso.

Pallbearers will be Ray Arviso, Ernest Arviso, Ryan Ortiz, Delbert Arviso, Duane Pinto, Joey Manning, Brandon Manning, Cedric Smith.

Denet Tso

BLACK MOUNTAIN — Funeral services for Denet T. Tso, 77, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 6, at Black Mountain Mission. Burial will be in private land, Black Mountain.

Tso died March 3, 2010, in Phoenix. He was born May 29, 1932, in Black Mountain, into the Water Flowing Together People Clan for the Coyote Pass People Clan.

Tso retired from Union Pacific Railroad. He started working at the age of 13, and worked for Chinle Jr. High School. He was also a custodian for 4 years in 1973.

Survivors include his son, Freddie Tso; daughters, Pauline Tso of Chinle, Lorraine Walker of Klagetoh, Rena Tso of Cortez, Emerdine Williams; brother, Johnny Tso; sisters, Linda James; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

Tso was preceded in death by his father, Hosteen Tso; wife, Mary Ann Tso; sons, Francis Tso, Jackson Tso; brother, Danny Tso.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Tso, Jerrison John, Fredo Tso, Art Yazzie, Bo Yazzie, Jerry John Jr., Franklin Tso.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the late Danny Tso’s residence, Black Mountain, following services.
