Board defers action against Lundstrom

SANTA FE — The Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments postponed action on Patricia Lundstrom simultaneously performing two jobs, those of NWNMCOG executive director and as state representative of McKinley and Cibola counties.

The federal Hatch Act, which relates to funding and state political service, carries some stipulations with regard to Lundstrom doing both jobs at the same time.

The decision took place during the NWNMCOG’s quarterly board of directors meeting. The 19-member board agreed to set some time aside to gather more information, which, when done, it’ll submit to the Office of the Special Prosecutor in Washington...
