GALLUP — Sen. George Munoz, D-McKinley and Cibola counties and a first-term state legislator, announced this week that an agreement has been reached between the city of Gallup and the Traffic Safety Bureau of the Department of Transportation, which allows the city to receive $110,000 in Driving While Intoxicated funding.

The funds permit the Gallup Police Department to continue DWI — defined as driving while under the influence of alcohol — seat belt and speeding operations.
