Selena Clark

COYOTE CANYON — Funeral services for Selena Clark, 87, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 14, at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. The Rev. Dennis R. Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in family cemetery.

Clark died March 8, 2009, in Gallup. She was born April 12, 1921, in Twin Lakes, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Clark was a rug weaver, sheep herder and homemaker. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Ann Etsitty of Coyote Canyon; six grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
Clark was preceded in death by her mother, Ason Tsoi White; father, Frank White.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Willie Jr., Charles Bufano, Darnell Willie, Stephen Bufano, Mark Miles Bufano Jr., Francesco Bufano.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Coyote Canyon Chapter, Brimhall, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Lena Curley

WHITE CLAY — Services for Lena Curley, 48, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 14, at United Methodist Church, Window Rock. The Rev. Roger Tsosie will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, White Clay, Ariz.

Curley died March 6, 2009, in Winslow. She was born June 25, 1960, in Fort Defiance, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Edge Water People Clan.

Curley attended Crystal Boarding School, Window Rock High and Hurricane High School, Hurricane, Utah, where she graduated. She worked as a housekeeper in various place.

Curley loved to clean, bake, work outside, cook and sew. She loved to make people laugh.

Survivors include her husband, Casey Curley of Birdsprings; daughters, Raychelle Lee, Yolanda Coleman, both of Lupton; parents, parents, Robert Lee, Katherine Begay, both of White Clay; sisters, Josephine Lee, Sally Lee, both of Window Rock, Kathy Lee of Lupton, Roberta Lee of Sawmill, Sarah Nez of Fort Defiance; one grandchild.

Curley was preceded in death by her grandparents, Frank and Angela Lee, Joseph Begay; brother, Robertson Lee.

Pallbearers will be Marvin Lee, Brandon Lee, Avery Lee, Michael Jesus, Henry Bia, Theron Nez.

The family will receive relatives and friends at United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Window Rock.

Jerry Johnson

STANDING ROCK — Services are pending for Jerry Johnson, 51.

Johnson died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Gallup. He was born March 25, 1957, in Standing Rock, into the Salt People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

A family gathering will be 6 p.m., tonight, March 13, at Standing Rock Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Lashaundra Lee

MANUELITO — Services are pending for Lashaundra Marie Lee, 3.

Lee died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born June 17, 2005, in Gallup, into the Sleeping Rock People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

A family meeting will be 6 p.m., tonight, March 13, at Manuelito Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
