Johnson Cody

FORT WINGATE — Funeral services for Johnson Cody, 51, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, March 12, at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel, Gallup. The Rev. Dennis Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation was 3-4:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel.

Cody died March 8, 2009, in Fort Wingate. He was born Aug. 23, 1957, in Fort Wingate, into the Meadow People Clan for the Black Sheep People Clan.

Cody graduated from Tohatchi High School in 1976. He worked at Howard Electric Co. as an electrician. Cody was a very kind, generous and loving person. He enjoyed looking out, camping, fishing, wood carving, drawing and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Murphy Cody of Fort Wingate; sons, Peter Yazzie of Tohatchi, Terrill Bonnie, Derek Bonnie, both of Fort Wingate; daughters, Gabrilene K. Cody, Cecelia Yazzie, both of Tsayatoh, Terrisa A. Bonnie, Dynette Murphy, both of Fort Wingate; sisters, Harriett K. Becenti of Rock Springs, Bertha Aguirre of Gallup, Lenorna F. Boyd of Tsayatoh, Marlene Cody of Rock Springs; 26 grandchildren.

Cody was preceded in death by his mother, Martha K. Cody; father, John Cody; grandparents, Mary Brown, Tom Kee, Mary Lee; Caroline K. Yazzie, Lillian K. Kee, Senator Tom K. Lee, Edward W. Lee.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy P. Becenti, Darren A. Becenti, Ryne Lee, Matthew E. Begaye III, Peter Yazzie, Cornelius Slim, Arnold Kinsel, Terrill P. Bonnie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Rock Springs Chapter, Rock Springs, following services.

Gina Meese

GALLUP — Celebration of life for Gina Ann Meese, 40, will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 12, at Bethany Christian Reform Church, 1110 S. Strong St., Gallup. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallup.

Meese died Thursday, March 5, 2009.
Meeseloved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors include her children, Desirae Chavez, Joseph Remillard; mother, Anne Meese; brothers, Fred Meese, Robert Meese.
Meese was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Philipina Meese; father, Fred Meese.

CHURCHROCK — Services are pending for Eric Roy Teengar, 25.

Teengar died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, of Gallup. He was born July 31, 1983, in Gallup, into the Water’s Edge People Clan for the Saline Water People Clan.
