Joe Chee

KIRTLAND, N.M. — Services for Joe G. Chee, 67, will be announced at a later date.

Chee died Feb. 22, 2009, in Farmington. He was born Oct. 15, 1941 in Hunters Point, Ariz.
There will be a family meeting at 3 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25 at Fred and Lorinda’s residence in Kirtland.

Rev. Mozel Freeman

GALLUP — Services for the Rev. Mozel Freeman, 88, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the East Aztec Baptist Church, 310 E. Aztec. The Rev. Gene Turk will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation will be at 7 p.m., at Rollie Mortuary Chapel, today, Feb. 24, 2009.

Freeman died Feb. 19, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born Nov. 16, 1920, in Anderson, S.C.
He worked for Humble Oil Company in Midland Texas in the 1950s. He retired from Gallup McKinley County Schools in 1993, where he was a custodian. He was also a pastor of St. Paul Church in Gallup.

Survivors include his wife Betty Sue Freeman of Gallup; sons Donald Jordan of Gallup, William Freeman of New Jersey; sister Cora Ellen Stewart of Rialto, Calif.; 28 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Freeman, Willie Mae Brown and 18 siblings.

Pallbearers will be Scott Davidson, Dennis Pino, Miguel Garcia, Keith Wallace, Charles Johnson and Chris Mike.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

David Golightly

HOLBROOK — Services for David Henry Golightly, 55, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7 at the Holbrook BPOE Elks Lodge #2450.
Golightly died Feb. 20, 2009.  He was born on March 6, 1953, in Phoenix .

Golightly made his professional career in sales.  He owned Union Oil Service Station in Flagstaff.  He then moved to Tuba City for 17 years and worked as General Manager for Davis Chevrolet.  He then went into the Johnson Mobile Home business and sales. In 1998 he moved to Holbrook where he owned Golightly Insurance Co.  He resided there for 11 years.

He was a member of the Holbrook BPOE Lodge #2450, the American Legion Post #37, Navajo County Sheriff Posse, and actively with the Navajo County Hashknife Posse and the Pony Express which includes search and rescue.  He was willing to help other people and he was fond of his friends on the Navajo and Hopi Reservations.  His favorite sports were bowling and pool. 

Survivors include his wife Maria “Lou”; children Jennifer Golightly of Phoenix, Jeri Bartholomew of Utah, Joshua David Golightly Sgt US Army of Holland, Christian Chavez of  Holbrook, Paco Chavez of Phoenix, and George Chavez of Mexico; mother Joyce Golightly, brother Michael Golightly of Flagstaff, sister Virginia Manterola of Clarkdale, and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Harvey Maurice Golightly of Flagstaff.

Anita Muniz-Clark

GALLUP — Services for Anita A. Muniz-Clark, 78, will be announced at a later date. Muniz-Clark died Feb. 23, 2009, in Gallup. She was born Oct. 4, 1930 in Gallup.

There will be a Rosay, Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., at Rollie Mortuary and visitation from noon to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 26 at Rollie Mortuary.Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Alfred Williams

GANADO — Services for Alfred John Williams, 82, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at the Ganado Presbyterian Church in Ganado. Burial will follow in the Ganado Cemetery.

Williams died Feb. 21 in Ganado. He was born Aug. 29 in Fort Defiance, Ariz., into the Towering House People Clan for the Coyote Pass People Clan.

Williams went to Ganado and Chinle schools and attended ASU. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marines and was employed with El Paso Natural Gas for 25 years. He retired in 1985 and was president and member of the Red Lake Lifestock Assoc. His hobbies included huntin, fishing and he enjoyed watching pro football, basketball, baseball and NASCAR.

Survivors include his wife Rosie Preston Williams; sons, Delbert Williams of Denver, Bruce Williams of Boulder City, Nev.; daughters Patrice W. Large of Fort Duchesne, Utah, Amelia J. Williams of Sanders, Ariz.; brother Herman J. Williams of Glendale, Ariz.; sisters Nonabah R. W. Charley of Leupp, Marjorie W. Thomas of Chinle; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Haskie Herman Williams and Nonabah Gorman Williiam.

Pallbearers will be Bruce E. Williams, James R. Large, Matthias Noble, Vincent Thomas, Lavon Thomas Sr., Marvin L. Charley and Leo Manygoats.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Ganado All Saints Hall, after services.

Tso Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Dennis Yazzie

DALTON PASS — Services for Dennis Dan Yazzie, 31, will be announced at a later date. Yazzie died Feb. 21, 2009, in Crownpoint, N.M. He was born Dec. 3, 1977, in Dalton Pass, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Towering House People Clan. Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
