Christopher King

GRANTS, N.M. — Services for Christopher Glenn King, 45, will be at 11 a.m., today, Feb. 23 at the Grants Church of Christ, 920 N. 1st St., in Grants. Chaplain Dale Thatcher will officiate.

Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

King died on Feb. 18, 2009.  He was born on July 22, 1963 in Riverside, New Mexico.

As a young man, King was a boy scout and a member of the Church of Christ.  He was a past firefighter with the Grants Fire Department, where he served as a First Responder Instructor.  He was an expert electronic technician, having worked for SRX, Lectronics, and receiving a Peak Performer Award from Motorola.

Survivors include his parents; Kenneth and Patricia D. King of Grants; sons; Charles Page of Lake Conroe, Texas, Corey King of Edgewood, NM;  daughter; Mari King also of Edgewood, NM.;  brother; Michael King of Grants; three grandchildren of Lake Conroe, Texas.

Pallbearers include Tony Boyd, Steve Mitchell, Dusty Eldridge, John Gallegos, Bert Hiles, and Robert Hayes.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to AAIM Animal Humane Society PO Box 1445 Grants, NM. 

Cope Memorial Chapel of Gallup is in charge of arrangements.
