Restaurant report Copyright © 2009 Note: All facilities received an approved status after the inspection/risk assessment GALLUP The following food service facilities were inspected by the New Mexico Environment Department: Big Cheese Pizza One high-risk violation was found in an inspection on Feb. 6; a personal drink was inside the soda refrigerator. This was corrected immediately on site by disposing the drink. One moderate-risk violation was a crackpot being used for heating tomato sauce for bread sticks. Inspector noted it was a very clean facility. Route 66 Railway Cafe All high-risk, moderate-risk and low-risk violations from the Feb. 3 inspection were corrected and no new violations were found during a Feb. 10 inspection. Sammy Cs In the restaurant, one high-risk violation was found in a Feb. 10 inspection. The pinto beans were at 117 degrees. This was corrected on site by reheating to 165 degrees for 15 seconds. Temperatures of other foods and walk-in freezers were correct. At the bar, one high-risk violation was found; the hand washing sink lacked paper towels and soap. This was corrected immediately on site. At the Starbucks cafe, one high-risk violation was found; a glass was being used to scoop ice. This was corrected immediately on site. Virgies Two high-risk violations were found during a Feb. 10 inspection. In the restaurant, ground beef on the hot holding was at 117 degrees and the salsa in the walk-in refrigerator was being improperly cooled in a 5-gallon bucket. Both violations were corrected immediately on site. Two low-risk violations were found; the light bulb in the walk-in refrigerator lacked protective cover, food was being stored on the floor of the walk-in refrigerator. Virgies bar was not in operation at the time of inspection so no violations were found. |
