Albern Jim

NEWLANDS — Graveside services for Albern Harvey Jim, 32, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Community Cemetery, Klagetoh. The Rev. John Hotstream will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery.

Jim died Feb. 4, 2009, in Newlands. He was born Dec. 22, 1976, in Gallup, into the Edge Water People Clan for the Red Bottom People Clan.

Jim attended school in Wide Ruins, Greasewood School, Whitehorse High School, in Montezuma, Utah. He worked with NECA out of Shiprock. He was a co-heavy equipment manager.

Survivors include his wife, Amanda B. Jim of Newlands; sons, Isaac Jim, Jonathan Benally, both of Newlands; daughters, Angel Jim of Cottonwood, Ashley Jim, Andrea Jim, both of Newlands; brother, Alden Jim of Holbrook; sisters, Loleta Jim of Lupton, Lisa Jim of Klagetoh, Melissa Jim of Holbrook; grandmother, Ruth Tsosie of Klagetoh.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Albert H. Jim; mother, Marie K. Jim; brother, Alvin H. Jim; grandfather, Ben Tsosie; grandmother, Bessie B. Begay.

Pallbearers will be Alden Jim, Neil Kakai, Sylvester Blackgoat, Merwin Lee, Thomason Tsosie, Gabriel Benally.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 10 a.m., at Klagetoh Chapter.

Elizabeth Morgan

PINEDALE — Services are pending for Elizabeth L. Morgan, 82.

Morgan died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in Gallup.

She was born Sept. 22, 1926, in Pinedale, into the Black Streak of the Forest People Clan for the Two Came to the Water People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Esther Tsosie

NASCHITTI — Funeral services for Esther B. Tsosie, 71, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Naschitti Christian Reformed Church, Naschitti. Interment will follow at family plot, Naschitti.

Tsosie died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, in Farmington. She was born July 15, 1937, in Naschitti, into the Towering House People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan.

Tsosie was a homemaker, rug weaver and pottery maker. She enjoyed writing in her journal, word finding puzzles and being with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph T. Tsosie Sr.; sons, Calvin, Joseph, Terry, Andy Tsosie, all of Naschitti; daughters, Lena Rodriguez of Farmington, Thelma Tsosie, Sophia Peshlakai, Selma, Esther Lou Tsosie Jr., all of Naschitti; brothers, Jimmy Bowman of Window Rock, Allison Becenti of Fort Defiance, Wallace Harry, Leonard Becenti of Naschitti, John, Arthur Bowman; sisters, Alice Wood of Naschitti, Ella Mae Peshlakai of Farmington.

Tsosie was preceded in death by her sons, Andrew and Alvin Tsosie; daughter, Josephine Tsosie; sisters, Marie Stewart, Marita Miller.
Desert View Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
