Downtown Walkway mishap

Gallup Firefighters wait in the ready as workers try to repair a broken gas line at the downtown walkway Monday. Construction workers renovating the walkway severed the gas line, prompting law enforcement to set up a safety perimeter around the area on Aztec Avenue between Second and Third Streets. It took PNM employees about two hours to respond and repair the broken line Monday. — © 2009 Gallup Independent / Brian Leddy
