City of Gallup, 2009 Gallup Visitors Guide sponsor art contest

GALLUP — Artists are invited to an “Art Work” contest for the City of Gallup. It is the city’s desire to use this winning entry on the cover of the 2009 Gallup Visitors Guide. The winning artist will receive a $500 cash prize as well as recognition for the winning entry.

All entries must be received by 2 p.m., February 13, 2009

Address
Phone Number
E-mail address
Date of birth

1.Official Rules:

a. One entry per person. All entrants must provide complete contact information in order to be eligible to win.

b. Submit two samples of your work; for photography (needs to be 300 dpi/4 color), paintings, water color paintings, individual pieces such as jewelry, pottery, sand paintings, etc. need to submit the image with the dimensions. The art work will go on a vertical cover.

c. Open to any Gallup or McKinley County resident at least 14 years of age.

d. Only those entries received in the CVB’s Office by 2:00 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2009 will be considered.

e. Registered trademarks will not be accepted as qualified entries.

f. All entries become the sole property of the city of Gallup.

g. Except where prohibited, participation in the contest constitutes entrant’s consent to the publication of his or her name and image in any media for any promotional purpose, without limitation or further compensation.

2. The entry chosen will be used in advertising the Gallup Visitors Guide and promoting Gallup and the surrounding areas.

3. Payment and Ownership of Image – By submitting this entry for consideration the person submitting agrees that if his or her work is chosen, that upon payment of the $500 by the city of Gallup, the city will own all rights, title and interest to the work in the future with no further compensation to person making the submission.
