Area in Brief

Stephanie Maestas of Alcalde, N.M., was
one of two people arrested by New Mexico State Police since Sunday
for driving the wrong way down well-traveled roads. Both Maestas
and Kevin Kruize of Grants, the other wrong way driver, were intoxicated
at the time of their arrests.

Awards for the 6th Annual Environmental Conference. Can nominate

private business or company; Navajo Nation grass root organization;
individual citizen. The nominee has to have completed a successful
project that benefited the environment of a Navajo community.
