Joe Bustamante Jr.
GALLUP Services for Joe Bustamante
Jr. 87, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23 at Sacred Heart
Cathedral in Gallup. Fr. OKeefe will officiate. Burial will
follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Gallup.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday,
Jan. 22 and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., at Rollie Mortuary.
Bustamante died Jan. 16, 2008 in Albuquerque.
He was born Jan. 9, 1921. He was a high school graduate and retired
as a master mechanic at Fort Wingate Army Depot. He was a member
of the Flying Tigers of the 14th Air Force Association.
Survivors include his sons Anthony Bustamante
of Santa Fe, Ejay Emmett Julian Bustamante of Phoenix; and two
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barlene
Fernandez Bustamante.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Fernandez,
Steve Harper, Roman Gutierrez, Herman Bustamante, Mike Bustamante
and Paul Rabalcaba.
A reception will be announced after services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to the American Cancer Assoc.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Linda MacRae
FORT DEFIANCE Services for Linda
MacRae, 52, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22 at St. Michaels
Mission in St. Michaels. Father Cormac Antram, OFM, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Fort Defiance cemetery.
A rosary will be recited today, Jan. 21
at 7 p.m., at St. Michaels Mission.
MacRae died Jan. 17, 2008 in Phoenix.
She was born April 7, 1955 in Rehoboth, N.M., into the Towering
House People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
MacRae graduated from Wingate High School, received an AA in
Education from UNM-Gallup, a BA in Education from Prescott Collgege
and was working on her Masters in counseling. She was an educator
in Diné language and studies for the Window Rock Unified
School District. She enjoyed being around her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Sterling MacRae; sons Ali Betone,
Alistaire MacRae, Darren MacRae; daughters Arlinda Betone, Brooke
MacRae-Bekis; mother Rena Roanhorse Norcross; brothers Lee Norcross,
Gary Norcross, Gilbert Norcross and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Anderson Betone;
brothers Ralph Norcross Jr, Roni Whitecrow; father Ralph Norcross,
Sr.; grandparents Gabriel Roanhorse, Bah Julian, John Manuelito,
Boh Yazzie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Michaels
Mission Hall after services. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to the Scleroderma Foundation.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arranements.
