Myron Tso
STANDING ROCK Funeral services for Myron
John Tso, 36, will be 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18 at the Church of
God, Standing Rock. Private disposition will be in the Mountain
Pass family plot. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m.
Tso died Jan. 13, 2008, in Carriozo, N.M. He
was born Sept. 3, 1971 in Crownpoint into the Red House People
Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Tso attended Navajo Head Start at Standing Rock,
Standing Rock Community School, Crownpoint Community School and
Wingate High School. He also attended Crownpoint CIT for his GED
diploma and went to auto mechanic training at the Institute of
Technology in Phoenix. Tso worked for the Mescalero Forest Product
(Sawmill) for five years. He also worked for the Ski Apache Resort
as a gondola supervisor in Mescalero for 3 years, and as a carpenter.
In his spare time he worked for Ruldoso Ready Labor. He liked
to watch Nascar races and the Colts football team. He liked to
go camping, fishing, and being outdoors. He also loved to be with
family and friends.
Survivors include his common-law wife, Robin
V. Chimal of Mescalero; step-daughter, Krystal A. Kayitah of Mescalero;
parents, Janice A. Billy, Frederick J. Tso Sr., both of Standing
Rock; brothers, Michael J. Tso, Marvin J. Tso, both of Mescalero,
Lyron J. Tso of Churchrock; sisters, Janelle R. Tso-Blake of Ruidoso.
Tso was preceded in death by his brother, Merrick
John Tso; grandparents, Frank and Juanita BIlly, John and Nellie
Tso.
Pallbearers will be Michael Tso, Marvin Tso,
Lyron Tso, Clint Blake, Terrance Mendez, Billy F. Yazzie Jr.,
and Roland Billy.
The family will received relatives and friends
at Standing Rock Chapter, Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 6 p.m.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Ermelinda Martinez
GRANTS Services
for Ermelinda Martinez, 87, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19
at Compassion Mortuarys Richard Martinez Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Clemente Saavedra
will officiate. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18
at Compassion.
Martinez died Jan. 14, 2008. She was born Nov.
19, 1920 in Cordova.
She was a member of the New Life Spanish
Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Saavedra
of Grants, Isabel Romero of Leadville, Colo., Priscilla Valdez
of Grants, Lori Martinez of San Rafael; sisters, Andre Romero
of Espanola, Alice Wheeler of Espanola, Ida Trujillo of Espanola;
brother, Eugene Rodriguez of Espanola; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren;
six great-great-grandchildren and three on the way.
Martinez was preceded in death by her husband,
Ricardo V. Martinez; son, Richard Martinez; daughter, Esther Martinez;
great-grandsons, Isaac Crow, twins, Tommy Crow and Richard Crow,
Robert Anthony Crow; brothers, Porfirio Rodriguez, Albert Rodriguez,
Samuel Rodriguez; sister, Florence Martinez; parents, Frank and
Debra Rodriguez.
Pallbearers will be Louie Martinez, Arthur Martinez,
Andy Martinez, Steve Gonzales, Ray Gonzales and Randy Saavedra.
