Jack Boyd

ALBUQUERQUE — Services for Jack Harry Boyd, 76, will be at 9 a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Albuquerque.. Father Juan Mendez will officiate. A Rosary will be recited at the church at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aptil 29, 2008 at the church. Interment will take place at the Veterans National Cemetery in Santa Fe.

Boyd died April 24, 2008 in Albuquerque . He was born August 24, 1931 in Winslow, Ariz., into the Bitter Water People Clan and for the Crow and Scottish clan on his father’s side.

Boyd grew up in Casamero Lake where his father was an Indian trader. The family lived in Gallup for a time. He was a long-time resident of Albuquerque and a general contractor. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Nativity Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Elks Lodge of Gallup, VFW and the American Legion. He enjoyed being a peacemaker and helping people in need.

Survivors include his wife Leslie; his sons KC, Chad, Taylor, Cory, Evans; brothers Robert Boyd, Rodger Boyd; sisters Patricia Nystedt, Anna Whitesinger; and four grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry Denton Boyd, Jessie Long Boyd.

Roy Delgarito

HAYSTACK, N.M. — Services for Roy Delgarito, 94, will be announced at a later date.

Delgarito died April 24, 2008 in Grants. He was born Feb. 8, 1913 in San Antone Springs, N.M.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Lena Sloan

WHITEHORSE LAKE, N.M. — Services for Lena T. Sloan, 93, will be announced at a later date.

Sloan died April 25, 2008 in Crownpoint. She was born June 20, 1914 in Whitehorse Lake.

A family gathering will be today, Saturday, April 26 at 6 p.m., at the Whitehorse Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
