Begay, Ned
CHINLE Services for Ned Begay,
76, will be noon, Saturday, April 26, at Potter House, Chinle.
Pastor Artie Aragon will officiate. Burial will be in the family
plot, Chinle. Visitation will be 11 a.m., one hour prior to services.
Begay died April 23, 2008, in Chinle.
He was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Chinle, into the Honeycombed People
Clan for the Tangle People Clan.
Begay was born and raised in Canyon DeChelly,
Chinle. He was a farmer, rancher, and sheep herder. His hobbies
included riding horses. He loved to sing, and was always happy.
Survivors include his wife, Ella M. Begay
of Chinle; sons, Edison Wilson of Chinle, James Begay Sr., of
Phoenix; brothers, Carl Begay of Chinle, John Brown Jr. of Crystal;
sisters, Louise Brown, Pauline Dawes, both of Chinle, Gladys Brown
of Snowflake, Selena Jewett of Payson; five grandchildren; one
great-grandchild.
Begay was preceded in death by his mother,
Nanabah Begay, father, John Taylor Begay; sons, Anderson Wilson,
Phillip J. Begay, Delbert Begay.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Leonard and Geneva Pete residence, 1/2 mile south of
Overlook Junction, Chinle.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of
arrangements.
Duboise, Bennie
MANUELITO Services for Bennie Duboise,
31, will be announced at a later date.
Duboise died Wednesday, April 23, 2008,
in Gallup. He was born Feb. 9, 1977, in Gallup, into the Black
Streak People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Luna,
Mary
TUCSON Funeral Mass for Mary H.
Luna, 80, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at the St. Francis
Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.
Visitation will be 8 a.m.-4 p.m. today, April 25, at Rollie Mortuary.
A rosary will be recited 10 a.m. April 26, at the St. Francis
Church.
Luna died April 21, 2008, in Tucson. She
was born Sept. 20, 1927, in McPhee, Colo.
Luna loved spending time with family and
friends, traveling, and cooking for family and friends.
Survivors include her son, David Luna of Phoenix; daughters, Patsy
Palomino, Evelyn Jimenez, both of Tucson; brother, Fred Gallegos
of Gallup; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Luna was preceded in death by her husband,
Pat Luna; sons, John Luna, Richard Luna, Joey Luna.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Luna, Patrick Palomino, Steven Jimenez,
Kenneth Luna, Joseph Luna, and John Michael Luna.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Elks Club, following services.

Maldonado, Richard
GALLUP Services for Richard Robert
Maldonado, 61, will be at Cope Memorial Chapel. Private disposition
will be in Gallup.
Maldonado died April 21, 2008, in Gallup.
He was born Oct. 28, 1946, in Flagstaff.
Survivors include his brothers, Louis
Maldonado Jr. of Gallup, Dan Maldonado of Acoma.
Maldonado was preceded in death by his
parents, Louis Maldonado and Flora Maldonado.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Morris Jr., Jack
PAGE, Ariz. Funeral services for
Jack Morris Jr., 59, will be 10 a.m. April 26, at the Naschitti
Baptist Church. Burial will be in Naschitti Community Cemetery.
Morris died April 22, 2008, in Phoenix.
He was born July 15, 1948, in Rehoboth, into the Edge Water People
Clan for the Near the Water People Clan.
Morris attended San Pasqual High School
in Winterhaven, Calif. and graduated in 1966, Arizona Western
College in Yuma and graduated in 1972 with an Associates of Applied
Science. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from Nov. 1968-March
1970 during the Vietnam War with a rank of E-4. He was employed
with Salt River Project, Navajo Generating Station, for at least
35 years. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. He enjoyed
sports, especially NFL, NCAA football and basketball.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine
Morris; sons, Alvin Price Jr., Calvin Price, Colton Morris; daughters,
Kerrie Morris, Jaclyn Morris; brother, Richard Morris; sister,
Laura Holona; two grandchildren.
Morris was preceded in death by his parents,
Isabell and Jake Morris; and one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Loren Schultz, Alvin
Price Jr., Calvin Price, Eric Schultz, Truman Schultz and Colton
Morris.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Naschitti Chapter House, following services.

Nicoll, Idelle
RAMAH Memorial service, for Idelle
Lewis Nicoll, 89, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, April 26, at the
Ramah Cemetery.
Nicoll died April 23, 2008 in Ramah. She
was born May 18, 1918 in Ramah.
Nicoll was the oldest of 9 children. She
held Independence Day yard parties that were attended by the community
and was the last surviving member of the original local western
dance band The Ramah Hell Cats. She continued to play the
Steel Guitar and Button Accordian and loved music, the gospel
and her family. Nicoll was an active member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints where she held numerous positions
pianist, organist, teacher, primary president, etc. She
retired from the Gallup McKinley County Schools in 1980.
Survivors include her brothers, Lloyd
Lewis, Garland Lewis, Rankin Lewis; sisters, Dorothy Lambson,
Afton Fisher; children, Carol Ansley, Kent Nicoll, Anna Stradling,
Joel Nicoll and Tami Voyles, all of Ramah; 41 grandchildren, 107
great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Nicoll was preceded in death by her husband,
Joseph Nicoll; son, John Nicoll; parents, Gilbert Vernon Lewis
and Alice Melissa Bloomfield..
The family will receive relatives and
friends at the family home, following services.
In lieu of gifts and flowers donations
may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
Humanitarian Fund or the Perpetual Education Fund.
Roanhorse, Delvin
OAKSPRINGS, Ariz. Funeral services
for Delvin Ralph Roanhorse, 17, was 10 a.m. today, April 25, at
the St. Michael Catholic Church. Father Gilbert Schneider officiated.
Burial was in St. Michaels Cemetery. Visitation was 9 a.m. today,
at the St. Michael Church.
Roanhorse died April 20, 2008, in Oaksprings.
He was born Feb. 11, 1991, in Fort Defiance, into the Bitter Water
People Clan for the Salt Water People Clan.
Roanhorse attended Window Rock High School
and was in the Navajo Nation Workforce during grade school and
middle school. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends,
playing basketball with his sisters and listening to his iPod.
Survivors include his parents, Elvin and
Donna Roanhorse; brother, Elvin Bitahy; sisters, Kimberly, Kalandra,
Kristen Roanhorse; grandparents, Rose Yazzie, Frank and Ethel
Roanhorse.
Roanhorse was preceded in death by his
grandfather, Douglas Bitahy.
Pallbearers will be Myron Bitahy, Michael
Bitahy, Donald Bitahy, Derrick Lewis, Jeffery Roanhorse, Kevin
Tabaha, Douglas Bitahy, Jerimiah Watts, Elvin Bitahy, Niguel Chischilly,
and Leo Paul Jr.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Oaksprings Chapter, following services.

Tracey, Ella
TSAYATOH Services for Ella Whitegoat
Tracey, 100, will be 11 a.m. April 26, at the Cope Memorial Chapel,
Gallup. Visitation will be at Cope Memorial Chapel.
Tracey died April 21, 2008, in Gallup.
She was born Aug. 1907, in Regundo Springs, into the Towering
House People Clan for the One Who Walks Around People Clan.
Tracey attended St. Michaels Indian School.
She was a homemaker, rancher and weaver.
Survivors include her daughters, Zonnie
Willie, Lucy Antone; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
great-great-grandchildren.
Tracey was preceded in death by her daughter,Louise
Tracey Tony.
Pallbearers will be Bronson Stoney, Rocky
Tony, Parnell Yazzie, Byran Paquin and Herschel Davis.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Tsayatoh Chapter, following services.
