Nick Andler Sr.

GALLUP — Traditional Mass for Nick Andler Sr., 76, will be 11 a.m. April 26, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church. Rev. Mattew Keller will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallup. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. April 25, at the Rollie Mortuary.

Andler died April 22, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Gallup.

Andler worked for the Gallup Fire Department, Station 1 and a life time member of Tri State. He liked to gamble and spend time with friends and family. He also like to travel.

Survivors include his wife, Corrine Andler of Gallup; sons, Nick Andler Jr. of Santa Rosa, Fred Gonzales of Winslow, Julian Martinez of Gallup; daughters, Debra Ann Andler of Denver, Colo., Rachel Andler, Linda Andler, Brenda Andler, Gina Marie Nez, all of Albuquerque, Carol Gonzales of Galllup, Ann A Sherman of Winslow, Kathy Gonzales of Gallup; 20 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Andler was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Kloubucher Andler; father, Nickolas Andler; brother, Marian Andler Sr.; sister, Jewel Ann Andler.

Pallbearers will be Julian Martinez, Jimmy Gonzales, Joe Gonzales, Mike Sekiya, Paul Munoz, Bob Wallace, Mike Lavito, and Jeff Ramsey.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallup Fire Dept., Station 1, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Earlene Herrera

WHITEHORSE LAKE, N.M. — Funeral services for Earlene Rose Herrera, 29, will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 25, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Grants. John Tso will officiate. Burial will be in Grants Memorial Cemetery, Grants.

Herrera died April 19, 2008 in Bernalillo. She was born March 2, 1979, in Gallup, into the Towering House People Clan for the Red Running Into Water People Clan.

Herrera graduated from Shiprock Career Prep High School in 1998. She was a homemaker, caring for her children and step-children and her mother in Albuquerque. She also worked in food services and had enjoyed her time as manager at Subway restaurants in Page, Ariz., Grants, and Albuquerque. Her hobbies included party planning, laughing, teasing and making jokes.

Survivors include her mother, Marlene Sandoval of Whitehorse Lake; daughters, Tunishya Shanya John, Aaliegh Makayla Albert, of Albuquerque; sons, Bevis Lawrence John, Mykel Bahe John, of Albuquerque; brothers, Calvert Albert of Albuquerque, Dexter Albert of Flagstaff; sister, Clarissa Platero of Milan; husband, Randell Herrera of Ojo Encino; four step-children.

Herrera was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Marie Whitehorse, Irene Albert; father, Earl Albert.

Pallbearers will be Raven Albert Taliman, George Whitehorse Jr., Michael Whitehorse, Lorne Ahkee, James Sinnot, and Frankie Albert.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reception hall, Grants, following services.

Elizabeth Martine

PINEHILL — Services for Elizabeth C. Martine, 96, will be 11 a.m. April 25, at the Ramah Navajo Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Freddie Lee will officiate. Burial will be in White Rock Ridge, family plot.

Martine died April 21, 2008, in Pinehill. She was born Nov. 23, 1911, in rural Mountain View, into the Meadow People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Martine was a livestock owner, and sheep were the love of her life. She was preparer of Native foods, a weaver, and was a Christian, who loved to sing and spend time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Juan Martine; sons, Benjamin J. Martine of Kayenta, Timmy J. Martine, Stanley Martine of Pinehill; daughters, Sadie M. Jake of Pinehill, Shirley M. Chatto of Pinehill; sisters, Katie C. Henio, Zonnie Chatto; 30 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren.

Martine was preceded in death by her sons, Ernest Martine, Jerry Martine; daughter, Wilma C. Martine.

Pallbearers will be Timmy Martine, Layne Martine, Gjermundson Jake, Dale K. Jake, Sullivan Jake Sr., and Jerome Martine.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Multipurpose Building in Pinehill.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Etta Tom

MARIANO LAKE — Funeral services for Etta Peshlakai Tom, 77, will be 10 a.m. April 25, at the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church. Pastor Jones Dehiya will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery.

Tom died April, 22, 2008, in Gallup. She was born July 15, 1930, in Mariano Lake, into the Black Streak Forest People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Tom was a rug weaver and a rancher.

Survivors include her daughter, Wilhemina Tom; sisters, Martha S. Bennett of Mariano Lake, Marie Arviso of Crownpoint; six grandchildren.

Tom was preceded in death by her parents, Golth Shorty, Adzaatsoi, Jake and Mary Peshlakai; sister, Pauline Peshlakai; and a brother.

Pallbearers will be Duane Thomas, Jeff Davis, Russell Bennett, Garylle James, Alfonzo Purdy and Delrio Largo.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Mariano Lake Chapter House, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Ella Tracy

TSEYATOH, N.M. — Services are pending for Ella W. Tracy, 100.

Tracy died April 21, 2008, in Gallup. She was born Aug. 1, 1907, in Hunters Point, Ariz.

A family gathering will be 5 p.m. tonight at the Tseyatoh Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
