Tina Costillo

CROWNPOINT — Services are pending for Tina Costillo, 31.

Costillo died in Crownpoint. She was born Jan. 20, 1977.

Costillo worked for the Family Harmony project in Crownpoint.

A family meeting will be 6 p.m. today, April 22, at the Crownpoint Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Jerry Touchin

COUSINS — Funeral services for Jerry “Papa Jerry” Touchin, 49, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Oakview Bible Church, Chichiltah, N.M. Pastor Herbert Francisco will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot, Cousins.

Touchin died April 17, 2008, in Gallup. He was born June 1, 1958, in Blackrock, N.M., into the Edge Water People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.

Touchin attended Wingate High School and American Technical Center in Phoenix. He worked at Southern Pacific Railroad, Kerr McGee Mine, Lavaland RV Park, and Precision Grinding in Phoenix. Touchin enjoyed being with family, grandchildren, and friends. He liked to joke around and laugh. His hobbies included fixing vehicles, traveling, watching movies, reading and helping others.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Touchin of Cousins; sons, Nathan Nez of Williams, Benjamin Nez of Albuquerque, Benson Nez of Fredonia; daughters, Jerilena Jean Touchin of Cousins, Charlene Nez of Cousins, Sharon Nez of Cousins; brothers, Paul Nez of Borrego Pass, George Touchin Jr., of Mexican Springs, Harry Nez of Ramah; sister, Naomi Garcia of Cousins; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Touchin was preceded in death by his mother, Etta Nez Touchin; father, George Touchin Sr.; brothers, Kee K. Nez, Thomas Touchin, Roger Touchin, Herman Touchin Sr., Harry Touchin; sister, LaRose Touchin.

Pallbearers will be Benson Nez, Rolynn Garcia, Urian Garcia, Andrew Duboise, Harry Nez, and Jake Garcia Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the late Etta Nez Touchin’s residence in Cousin.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Marjorie Yazzie

GALLUP — Funeral services for Marjorie A. Yazzie, 47, will be April 23, at the Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Overton will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery..

Yazzie died April 17, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born March 30, 1961, in Chicago, Ill., into the Black Streak People of the Forest People Clan for the Salt Water People Clan.

Yazzie attended Fort Wingate schools. She was a housewife. Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, taking care of her grandchildren, and spending time with them.

Survivors include her daughters Melissa Barney, Michelle Spencer, Desiree Spencer; father Willie Yazzie; brothers Wilbur Yazzie, Milton Yazzie, Paul Yazzie; sisters Darlene Ortiz, Marlene Romero, Arlene Yazzie; six grandchildren..

She was preceded in death by her daughter Jasamaine Rose Aguliar; mother, Esther Marie Yazzie; brother, Allen Dale Yazzie; grandparents, James and Alice Spencer Ortiz.
Pallbearers will be Wilbur Yazzie, Milton Yazzie, Paul Yazzie, Dustin Garcia, Marcus Garcia, Dennis Morgan, Shane Yazzie and Robert Romero.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
