Luke Begay

JEDDITO — Services for Luke Begay, 14, will be 1 p.m. April 22, at the Jeddito Gravesite. Pastor Elmer Jerrimy will officiate. Burial will be in Jeddito Commuity Cemetery. Visitation wil be at the gravesite services.

Begay died April 16, 2008, in Low Mountain. He was born April 19, 1993, in Chinle, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Honey Comb Rock People Clan.

Begay was in 7th grade at Pinon Middle School. He was a fun and loving person. He loved to go fishing, hunting, hiking and bike riding.

Survivors include his parents, Eugenia Begay and Joe Smith Begay; brothers, Jarvis Begay, Nathaniel S. Begay, Jude Smith Begay; sisters, Lucinda B. Jake, Joanna Begay, Natalie Begay, Gena Begay, Juliette Begay.

Begay was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ethel and Daniel Begay; brothers, Joey Begay, Jeremiah Smith Begay.

Pallbearers will be Jarvis Begay, Nathaniel Begay, Jude Smith Begay, Charleston Baker, and Ernest Thomas.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Low Mountain, Joe Smith Begay’s residence, 1 1/2 miles S.E. of Low Mountain School.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
