Paul Castillo

SAN RAFAEL — Prayer services for Paul Castillo, 65, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will be in San Rafael Community Cemetery. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. today, April 16 at Compassion Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., tonight, April 16, at Compassion Mortuary.

Castillo died April 14, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born July 29, 1942, in San Rafael.

Castillo was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam.

Survivors include his sisters, Jennie Barajas of San Rafael, Susie Harris of San Jose, Calif., Angelina Ramirez of San Rafael; brothers, David Castillo of Grants, Andy Castillo of Texas, Carlos Castillo of San Rafael.

Castillo was preceded in death by his parents, Perfilio Castillo, Rita Saavedra Castillo; brothers, Nestor Castillo, Procopio B. Castillo; sisters, Clara Barajas, Rose Castillo.

Pallbearers will be Victor Ramirez, Ruben Barajas, Francisco Barajas, Leonard Barajas, Carlos Castillo, Dave Castillo, Matthew Castillo and Trea Martinez.

Betty Crow

GALLUP — A celebration of life service for Betty Jane Crow, 84, was Saturday April 5, at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Rio Communities in Belen.

Crow died Wednesday April 2, 2008. She was born Oct. 19, 1923 in Fletcher, Okla.

Crow was born to Russell and Emma Lou Constant. She and her husband George resided in Gallup for 32 years during which time she worked at “Frans” flower shop, Dandee's supermarket, and drove a bus for the McKinley county school system. Crow attended school in Fletcher and Norman Okla. She worked in the defense industry for the Douglas Aircraft during World War II. She lived in Albuquerque, then Gallup, then moved to Belen. Crow enjoyed many activities including bowling, and taking care of her Golden Retriever. Her greatest enjoyment was welcoming her children and grandchildren and visitors. Crow was a member of the Episcopal church and enjoyed attending services.

Survivors include her two children, Terry Towner of Socorro, Laura Arnold of Grants; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

John Williams Jr.

JAMES TOWN — Services for John B. Williams Jr., 75, will be announced at a later date.

Williams died Monday, April 14, 2008, in Phoenix. He was born Dec. 1, 1932, in Bonaza, Ark.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
