John Bee Sr.

CHICHILTAH, N.M. – Services for John Bee, Sr., 95, will be announced at a later time. Bee died April 4, 2008 in Zuni. He was born March 15, 1913 in Chichiltah.

There will be a family meeting Monday, April 7 at 6 p.m., at the Chichiltah Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

William Claude

TOHLAKAI, N.M. – Services for William Thomas Claude, 61, will be announced at a later date.

Claude died April 3, 2008 in Gallup. He was born Sept. 30, 1946 in Fort Defiance.

A family meeting will be at 5 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2008 at the Twin Lakes Chapter House.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Gary Harrison Jr.

ALBUQUERQUE – Services for Gary Harrison Jr., 32, will be at 10 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2008 at Potter’s House in Chinle. Pastor Artie Aragon will officiate. Burial will follow at the community cemetery in Chinle.

Harrison died April 3, 2008 in Albuquerque. He was born Jan. 30, 1976 in Ganado into the Mexican People Clan for the Black Sheep People Clan.

Harrison graduated from Eldorado High School and received his AA at TVI. At the time of his death he was continuing his education at UNM to be a civil engineer. He enjoyed playing basketball and was a big fan of the Denver Broncos and John Elway.

Survivors include his parents Clara Yazzie of Albuquerque and Gary Harrison of Chinle; brother Terrell Toya of Albuquerque; sisters Tennalle John of Tempe, Ariz., Teresa Harrison and Bryan Smallcanyon of Page, Ariz.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Clark and Mary D. Yazzie and Bahe Harrison.

Helen Stauder

SOCORRO – Memorial Service for Helen Stauder, 98, was held today, April 5, 2008 in Socorro, NM.

Stauder was born February 25, 1910 in Tucumcari, NM and passed away March 24, 2008 in Silver City, NM. She is survived by two sons; Sherwood Stauder of Gallup and James Stauder of Silver City, NM and nine grandchildren.

Nancy Willie

LITTLEWATER, N.M. – Services for Nancy Shorty Willie, 68, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Hosanna Pentecostal Church in Crownpoint. Pastor Harry Largo will officiate. Burial will follow on family land in Littlewater.

Willie died April 3, 2008 in Farmington. She was born Dec. 8, 1939 in Littlewater into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Willie was a silversmith, rug weaver, and enjoyed raising livestock, crocheting, sewing, making traditional food, oven bread and spending time with friends and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons Glenn Nez of Shiprock, Ronald Willie of San Mateo, Jameson Willie of Grants, Thomas Willie of Thoreau; daughters Irene Gibson, Rosita Willie, both of Littlewater, Lorraine Willie of Shiprock, Shirleen Willie of Becenti, N.M.; brother Kenneth Shorty Sr., of Gallup; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Willie was preceded in death by her husband John F. Willie; parents Charley and Mary Shorty; brothers Peter Shorty, Lymon Shorty and one sister Dixie Shorty.

Pallbearers will be Glen Nez, Ronald Willie, Thomas Willie, Andrew Enrico, Lynol Shorty and Melford Shorty.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Littlewater Chapter House after services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
