Batoni, Junior
MANUELITO Funeral services for Junior Batoni, 65, will
be 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. Pastor
David Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Batoni died March 29, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 2,
1943, in Manuelito, into the Meadow People Clan for the Ute
People Clan.
Batoni was a rancher.
Survivors include his brother, Ernest Batoni of Gallup.
Pallbearers will be Melton Woody, Richard Haley, Stanley Tsosie
and Berlyn Noble.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Benally, Eunice
KLAGETOH Funeral services for Eunice J. Benally, 62,
will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, at the Calvary Baptist Church,
Klagetoh. Wilson Calvin will officiate. Burial will be in Catholic
Mission, Klagetoh.
Benally died March 31, 2008, in Farmington. She was born July
20,1945, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Cliff Dwelling
People Clan.
Benally attended Albuquerque Indian School, Klagetoh Day School,
and schools in Stewart, Nevada. She was a homemaker. Benally
was a Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Klagetoh.
She was also an active and enjoyed traveling, family outings,
shopping, listening to music and joking around.
Survivors include her sons, Edwin Tracy, Edward Tracy Jr.,
Edmund Tracy, Edgar Tracy, Elbert Tracy, Elroy Tracy, Gary Arviso
Jr., James Yazzie Jr.; daughters, Elvira Tracy, Eileen Platero,
Elvera Tracy Reed, Elvina Tracy, Regina Arviso, Geroldine Arivso,
Orlene Lincoln, Darlene Yazzie, Arlene Yazzie; sisters, Pauline
Yazzie of Klagetoh, Carolyn Arviso of Navajo, Bessie Laughlin
of Navajo; 42 grandchildren.
Benally was preceded in death by James Benally.
Pallbearers will be Walter Laughlin, Bennie Laughling, Ira
Reed, Gary Arviso Jr., Edgar Tracy, and Elroy Tracy.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Klagetoh Chapter
House, following services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Hubbard, Neil
GANADO Funeral services for Neil Hubbard, 27, will be
10 a.m. Friday, April 4, at the St. Michaels Catholic Church.
Father Gilbert Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in Community
Cemetery, Kinlichee.
Hubbard died March 25, 2008, in Nazlini. He was born Oct. 4,
1980, in Fort Defiance, into the Coyote Pass People Clan for
the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Hubbard attended Ganado High School, Kicking Horse, SIPI and
was presently attending CIT Crownpoint. He worked with NECA
Roads Department at Nazlini. His hobbies included riding horses.
He loved county and rap music.
Hubbard was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Nali Lucy
Watchman and Elsie Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Hubbard Jr., Peterson Hubbard,
Leffew Yazzie, Calvin Yazzie, Curtis Wilson and Lambert Watchman.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the familys
residence, following services.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Lucero, Margaret
GRANTS Funeral Mass for Margaret M. Lucero, 71, will
be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic
Church. Burial will be in Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev.
Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. A rosary will be recited
at 7 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic
Church.
Lucero died April 1, 2008, in Grants. She was born May 29,
1936, in Taos.
Lucero was retired from Grants Good Samaritan.
Survivors include her children, Gilberta Lucero of Grants,
Ron Lucero of Grants, Robert Lucero of Grants, Richard Lucero
of Grants, Rodney Lucero of Grants; brothers, Joe Martinez of
Albuquerque, Ernest Martinez of Grants, Pat Martinez of Boulder
City, Nev., Pete Martinez of Grants, Lorenzo Martinez of Las
Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Isabel Aragon of Albuquerque, Helen Trujillo
of Albuquerque, Lucy Duran of Las Vegas, Nev., Lea Martinez
of Elko, Nev.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Lucero was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert JC
Lucero; parents, Delfinio Martinez,
Arcelia Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Ron Lucero, Rick Lucero, Robert Lucero,
Robbie Lucero, Steve Martinez, and Lance Martinez.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
