C. Apodaca, 70, will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at
the San Rafael Catholic Church. Burial will follow at San Rafael
Community Cemetery. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will officiate.
A Rosary will be recited today, April
1, 2008 at San Rafael Catholic Church.
Apodaca died March 29, 2008 in Albuquerque,
He was born June 17, 1928 in San Rafael.
Survivors include his wife Agapita Baca
Apodaca of San Rafael; children Lupe Jaramillo, Nestor Apodaca,
both of San Rafael, Joe Apodaca of Grants, Johnny Apodaca of Albuquerque;
brothers Frankie Apodaca of San Rafael, Ralph Apodaca of Grants;
sisters Mary Olguin of Pecos, N.M., Elosia Valdez, Peggy Valdez,
Emma Archuleta, all of San Rafael; eight grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents
Nestor Apodaca and Martina Chavez Apodaca; son Michael Apodaca;
brothers Viviano Apodaca, Gilbert Apodaca; sisters Della Marquez
and Casey Olguin
Pallbearers will be John Valez, Billy
Archuleta, Clarence Marquez, Ralph Apodaca Jr., Bobby Apodaca,
Leonard Apodaca, Bennie Torrez, Eric Garcia.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge
of arrangements.

GALLUP Services for Tommy Arviso,
60, will be announced at a later date.
Arviso died March 28, 2008 in Gallup.
He was born May 5, 1947 in Rehoboth into the Glack Streak of the
Forest People Clan for the Black Streek Wood People Clan.

Becenti, Lillian
CROWNPOINT Services for Lillian M. Becenti,
93, will be at 10 a.m., today, April 1, 2008 at the Lighthouse
Assembly of God in Crownpoint. Carlos Bakii will officiate. Burial
will follow in Crownpoint Community Cemetery.
Becenti died March 27, 2008 in Crownpoint. She
was born May 3, 1914 in Crownpoint into the Towering House People
Clan for the Sleeping Rock People Clan.
She attended BIA Boarding School in Crownpoint
and worked at Crownpoint IHS. She retired from IHS after working
45 years. Her hobbies included sheepherding, sewing, traveling
and sharing the gospel.
Survivors include her daughters Dorothy B. Martin,
Ruby B. Brown, Emma Jean Begay, Genevieve McDowell, Ora Begay,
Sadie Tso and Valene Hovel; 32 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren
and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy
Becenti; son Stanley Becenti; daughter Annie E. Becenti; sisters
Mary Scott, Glinny Negale, Bizilbah Begay; brothers Harry Johnson,
Joe Manuelito.

Mingo, David Jr.
RAMAH Services for David Ray Mingo Jr., 20, will be at
10 a.m., Wednesday, April 2 at the Ramah Navajo Church of the
Nazarene in Ramah. Rev. Stephen Joe will officiate. Burial will
follow at the private family plot on Flat Top Valley.
Mingo Jr. died March 27, 2008 in Gallup. He was born June 27,
1987 in Zuni and was Navajo/Choctaw.
Survivors include his parents Tina Marie Keeto of Mentmore, N.M.,
David Ray Mingo Sr., of Philadelphia, Miss.; brothers Raven Mingo,
Davidan Thompson, Devin Mingo; sisters Tivanna Maria Bolding,
Hozhodesbah Pino, both of Mentmore and Sky Mingo; grandparents
Sandra Bohling of Albuquerque, Leo Pino Sr., and Mallie Chickaway,
both of Philadelphis, Miss.
Pallbearers will be Samuel Alonao, Darrell Pino, Leo Pino Jr.,
Lester Pino, Craig Pino and Melton Maria.
The famly will receive relatives and friends at Mary Y. Marias
residence following burial.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Muskrat, Don
GALLUP Services for Don Alan Muskrat age, 42 passed away
on March 27, 2008 unexpectedly at his home. He was born
on June 17, 1965 in Gallup, New Mexico to Jake E. Muskrat and
Frances Choate Muskrat.
He was a 1983 graduate of Gallup High School.
Survivors include his father, Jake E. Muskrat and his sister,
Karla Muskrat, both of the family home, numerous aunts, uncles,
and cousins.
His mother Frances Muskrat preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held on Monday April 7, 2008 at 11:00
AM at the Elks Lodge # 1140, 1201 Susan Ave. Gallup, New Mexico.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Nelson, Leo
JONES RANCH, N.M. Services for Leo Nelson, 82, will be
announced at a later date.
Nelson died March 20, 2008 in Gallup. He was born May 20, 1925
in Two Wells, N.M. into the Folded Arms People Clan for the Mexican
People Clan.

Yazzie, Mary
RED ROCK, N.M. Services for Mary L. Yazzie, 60, will be
at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Cope Memorial Chapel.
Jake Yazzie Jr., will officiate. Burial will follow in the city
cemetery in Gallup.
Yazzie died March 29, 2008. She was born May 10, 1948 in Red
Rock, into the Towering House People Clan for the Bitter Water
People Clan.
Yazzie was a homemaker, she loved herding sheep, working at Red
Rock Pre-school, helping friends and relatives and being with
her family.
Survivors include her brothers Jake Yazzie Sr., of Breadsprings,
N.M..
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Henry and Minnie
Yazzie and Alta Bah Yazzie; parents Bessie Yazzie Longhair, Jack
G. Longhair.
Pallbearers will be Felix Yazzie, Lamuel Yazzie, Emmanuel Yazzie,
Darrell Yazzie, Jeffrey Francisco and Wilson Chee.
The famly will receive relatives and friends at thet Baahali
Church of God after services.
