Diana Baca
GRANTS Services for Diana Baca, 51, will be 12 p.m., Wednesday,
Dec. 31, at Compassion Mortuary. Burial will be in Grants Memorial
Park. The Rev. Clyde will officiate. A prayer service will be
7 p.m., tonight, Dec. 30, at Compassion Mortuary.
Baca died Dec. 27, 2008, in Alamogardo. She was born Oct. 23,
1957, in Taos.
Baca was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be
missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Manuel Baca of Grants; children,
Amanda Baca of Grants, Frances Baca of Milan; parents, Albert
and Evangeline Montoya of Taos; sisters, Georgina Montoya of Taos,
Patricia Baca of Taos; brothers, Albert Montoya of Rio Rancho,
Tommy Montoya Taos, Gilbert Montoya of Taos; one granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Karl Roebuck, Saloman Aragon, Jessie Arellano,
Albert Montoya, Tommy Montoya, Gilbert Montoya.

Joe Benally
SUNDANCE Services are pending for Joe White Benally, 73.
Benally died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Oct.
15, 1935, in Vanderwagon, into the Black Streak of Forest People
Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
A gathering for friends and relatives will be 5 p.m, tonight,
Dec. 30, at Rehoboth Christian Fellowship Hall.

Marcella Porter
SAN RAFAEL Funeral Mass for Marcella M. Porter, 60, will
be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at San Rafael Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Porter family cemetery, San Rafael. The Very
Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. A rosary will be recited
7 p.m., tonight, Dec. 30, at San Rafael Catholic Church.
Porter died Dec. 27, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born May 10,
1948, in Grants.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Porter of San Rafael; daughters,
Betty Porter of Grants, Sharon Gassaway of Los Lunas; sisters,
Pauline Lovato of Bluewater, Helen Lovato of Grants, Lisa Chavez
of Albuquerque, Frances Lopez of Rio Rancho, Sally Sanchez of
Grants, Rose Lopez of Grants, Bonnie Garcia of Grants; brothers,
Barney Molina of Grants, Wilfred Molina of Grants; five grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren.
Porter was preceded in death by her parents, Adeauldo Molina,
Veronica Gutierrez Molina.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Valdez, Gordy Marez, Timo Marez, Chris
Porter, Raymond Lopez Jr., Frank Molina, Ray Chavez.

Clifford Riedemann
GRANTS Services for Clifford Henry Riedemann, 95, will
be 11 a.m., Dec. 31, at Central Baptist Church, 701 Sage Ave.,
Grants. Burial will be in Grants Memorial Park. The Rev. Lonnie
Jordan will officiate. Viewing will be 11 a.m., Dec. 31, at Central
Baptist Church.
Riedemann died Dec. 25, 2008, in Grants. He was born May 31,
1913, in Sadin, Minn.
Riedemann was retired from Anaconda Mines after working 19 years.
He was a resident in the Grants area since 1947 and was a charter
member of the Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Kenneth Riedemann of Truth or
Consequences, Howard Riedemann of Grants, Ronald Riedemann of
Denver, Colo., Marlys Moore of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sisters,
Louise Braz of Cut Bank, Mont., Jeanette Kaul of Concord, Calif.,
Barbara Demarco of Vallejo, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Riedemann was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy May Riedemann;
parents, Henry and Louise Riedemann; sister, Elaine Riedemann;
brother, Earl Riedemann; two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Riedemann, Howard Riedemann, Pat
Simpson, Bob Simpson, Eddie Trujillo, Cecil Roberts.

Sonny Whitehair
KITSILLIE, Ariz. Services for Sonny Whitehair, 86, will
be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at United Methodist Church, Kitsille.
Burial will be in family land, Kitsillie. Visitation will be one
hour prior to services at the church. A rosary will be recited
1 p.m., today, Dec. 30, at the Tse Bonito Mortuary Chapel.
Whitehair died Dec. 28, 2008, in Kitsillie. He was born July
6, 1922, in Kitsillie, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the
Yucca Fruit People Clan.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Bahe Whitehair; sons, Edward
Whitehair, Lee Whitehair, Alvin Whitehair; daughter, Mary Whitehair;
brothers, Tony Begay, Calth Tso, Jimmy Tso; sisters, Selena Bitui,
Sarah Etcitty; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Whitehair was preceded in death by his parents, Hatalie Tso,
Kinlichiinii Bitsi; brother, Roy Tso; son, Sherman Whitehair.
Pallbearers will be Roger Bahe, Rodrick Bahe, Melvin Bitsui,
Robert Fraziier, Luis Esocbar, Harvey Rose.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Black Mesa Community
School, following burial.
