Deaths
Mary Joyce
MORRISTON, Fla. Funeral services for Mary Frances Joyce,
83, will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 31, at Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints, Williston. Interment will be in Orange Hill.
Joyce died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, in Gainesville, Fla. She was
born July 2, 1925, in English, W. Va.
Joyce moved to Morriston in 1985 from Gallup. She was a retired
banker.
Survivors include her daughters, Sue Carlton of Williston, Dixie
Deffendall, Jacque Joye of Winters, Texas.; brother, Patrick Pat
Brown of Abingdon, Va.; sisters, Helen Snapp of Tazwell, Va.,
Mary Catherine Jennings of Lancaster, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 30, at
Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Ave, Dunnellon, Fls..
Elsie Willie
CHINLE Funeral Mass for Elsie Lee Willie, 63, will be
10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Our Lady of Fatima. The Rev. Blane
Grein, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery,
Chinle. Viewing will be 9 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church.
Willie died Dec. 26, 2008, in Chinle. She was born Dec. 15, 1945,
in Fort Defiance.
Willie enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, gardening, and spending
time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Shawn Willie of Thoreau; daughters,
Alice Chee Willie of Rough Rock, Sherry Willie of
Chinle, Sall Willie of Chinle; brothers, Danny Lee of Thoreau,
Bobby Lee of Thoreau, Nelson Lee of Albuquerque; sister, Joann
L. Dick of Chinle; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family members.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
