Restaurant report Copyright © 2008 Editor's note: All facilities received an approved status after the inspection/risk assessment GALLUP The following food service facilities were inspected by the New Mexico Environment Department: BJs Kountry Store Two high-risk violations were found in an inspection on Dec. 18; the hot holding cabinet was at 100 degrees and damp rags were not being kept in sanitizer. Both violations were corrected immediately on site and after reheating, food was moved to different hot holding unit. One moderate-risk violation was found; lemon cake in cold holding had mold. It was disposed of immediately. One low-risk violation was found; food products were stored directly on the floor of the walk-in refrigerator. Avalon Restaurant One high-risk violation was found on a Dec. 19 inspection; cooked rice in the walk-in refrigerator was not date labeled. The violation was corrected immediately on site by date marking the product. Giant Four Corners # 109 One moderate-risk violation was found; cutting boards gave gouges, the violation was corrected on site by washing and flipping the cutting boards. Smith Lake Chevron Three high-risk violations were found in a Dec. 18 inspection; a crock pot was being used for mutton stew, corndogs, burritos, hot dogs, hamburgers were being kept at wrong temperature and the stove was out of service. The crock pot was removed from service, the food was discarded immediately and a CHR was issued for the stove violation. One low-risk violation was found; the bread was being stored directly on the floor of the walk in. |
