GALLUP — Gallup Police recovered the body of Elvis Watchman, 45, from a field near Allison Road Monday. Watchman apparently froze to death.

This is the third body found in Gallup since temperatures began to dip below freezing earlier this year.

Roger Segay, 62, of Sawmill, Ariz., was found Thanksgiving Day in a northside field. Police assume he died of exposure, although the actual cause of death will not be known until the autopsy report is returned. Segay was found at around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, and had in his pocket a receipt showing he purchased alcohol at about 9 that morning.

Bruce Yazzie, 46, was found in a field behind Super 8 Motel Monday Dec. 1. Police later learned from Yazzie’s family that he had been missing for three days.
