E-Waste

GALLUP — An E-waste collection will take place 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Jan. 10, at Castle Furniture. Will accept computers, monitors, copiers, printers, fax machines, UPS units, scanners, and more. TVs will be taken for $5 disposal fee. For more info call 722-9257 or 505-321-2827.

Disenrollment

GALLUP — Students at UNM-Gallup who don’t have their financial aid in place will be disenrolled on Jan. 9. That means they will have to not only iron out any problems with their financial aid applications, but also will have to re-enroll for the spring. The college will make an effort Jan. 5, to show students how to enroll online and to check the status of their financial aid. Classes for spring start Jan. 20. Call 505-863-7663 for info.

GALLUP — As of Jan. 5, UNM-Gallup will only have online registration for the spring semester. Students will also have to start checking their own financial aid online. More info call 505-863-7500.

Super Blitz

New Mexico State Police sobriety checkpoints, patrol saturation operations, and speed enforcement programs Super Blitz will be Nov. 26-Dec. 31.

Closure

CHINLE — Canyon de Chelly National Monument will be closed Dec. 25-26, visitor center only. North and South Rim Drives and Overlooks, White House Trail, Campground will be open. Visitor center will be locked, however, the rim drives and overlooks gates will remain open. Info call 928-674-5500.

WINDOW ROCK — All Navajo Nation courts and Judicial Branch offices, including family and district courts, peacemaking and probation services, Supreme Court of the Navajo Nation, and the Administrative Office of the Courts, will be closed Dec. 24-26, Dec. 31, and Jan. 1.

Nami Connection

GALLUP — Nami is an open, facilitated support group for individuals coping with any psychiatric condition. If you live with depression, anxiety, PTSD, Bi-polar Disorder or Schizophrenia, free group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings in the Solarium at Rehoboth McKinley Hospital from 6:30-8 p.m. No pre-enrollment needed.
