Christopher Ellsworth Sr.
CROWNPOINT Services for Christopher Kenny Ellsworth Sr.,
39, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 22, at St. Pauls Catholic
Parish, Crownpoint. The Rev. Bobby Arviso will officiate.
Ellsworth died Dec. 17, 2008, in Crownpoint. He was born March
25, 1969, in Crownpoint, into the Edge of the Water People Clan
for the Water Flows Together People Clan.
Ellsworth loved to be with his family, his sons, nephews and
nieces. His enjoyed going to concerts with his brothers, sisters
and sons.
Survivors include his parents, Robert Ellsworth Sr., Christina
Ellsworth of Crownpoint; children, Kenny Ellsworth of Albuquerque,
Corbin Ellsworth of Albuquerque, Christopher Ellsworth Jr. of
Crownpoint; sister, Celetie Ellsworth of Albuquerque; brothers,
Robert Ellsworth Jr. of Lakeland, Fla., Daryl Ellsworth of Crownpoint;
grandmother, Ena Chavez of Crownpoint.
Ellsworth was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred Chavez
Sr., Jay Ellsworth, Alta Ellsworth.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Ellsworth, Corbin Ellsworth, Jeremiah
Mariano, Raynelle Chavez, Lou Anton Jr., Ron Martin, Robert Ellsworth
Jr., Quinn Etcitty.

Cody Lavender
TUMACACORI, Ariz. Services for Cody Tyler Lavender, 20,
will be 10 a.m., Dec. 23, at Sacred Heart Cathedral Church, Gallup.
The Rev. Flann will officiate. Burial will be in Klagetoh Cemetery,
Klagetoh. A rosary will be recited 6 p.m., Dec. 22, at St. Annes
Mission, Klagetoh.
Lavender died Dec. 14, 2008, in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was born
July 22, 1988, in Lancaster, Calif., into the Honey Comb Rock
People Clan for the Italian People Clan.
Lavender graduated from Grants High School. He attended Dartmouth
College from 2005-2008. During his studies at Dartmouth, Cody
attended college at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland for
foreign studies abroad.
Survivors include his mother, Valerie Lavender-Flores, step-father,
Art Flores, father, Kenneth Lavender; brothers, Franco Benally,
Andrew Shondee; sister, Alyssa Lavender, Ashli Benally; grandparents,
Amelia M. Benally, Carol and Kenneth Lavender.
Lavender was preceded in death by his grandfather, Tyler Taylor
Benally.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Klagetoh Cemetery,
following services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dartmouth College,
Hanover, N.H.

Jeremiah Lozano
GRANTS Services for Jeremiah Cory Lozano, 17 months, will
be 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 22, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Milan.
The Rev. Garland Moore will officiate.
Lozano died Dec. 17, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born July 7,
2007, in Grants.
Survivors include his mother, Irene Lozano of Grants; father,
Raymond Lozano of Grants; grandmother, Elaine Lozano of Grants;
great-grandmothers, Stephanie Lozano of Baldwin Park, Calif.,
Bella Castanon of Alta Loma, Calif.; great-grandfather, Ramon
Lozano of Baldwin Park, Calif.
Lozano was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Domenic
Castanon.
Pallbearers will be Brian Gabaldon, Rey Gomez, Chino Molina,
Rico Puuldo, Richard Gonzales.

Dora Nez
CHICHILTAH Funeral services for Dora Nez, 85, will be
10 a.m., Monday, Dec. 22, at St. Patricks Catholic Mission.
The Rev. Tim Cervantes will officiate. Private disposition will
be in Oak Canyon.
Nez died Dec. 16, 2008, in Gallup. She was born Jan. 18, 1923,
in Chichiltah, into the Black Sheep People Clan for the Bitter
Water People Clan.
Nez was a lifetime homemaker and rancher. She enjoyed going to
rodeos and chapter meetings. She also enjoyed visiting with her
nephews and nieces.
Survivors include her brother, Chester Nez of Albuquerque.
Nez was preceded in death by her father, Denet Nez; brothers,
Leonard Nez Sr., Francis Nez, Charley Chee Nez, Charlie Grey,
Albert Nez; one sister.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Nez Jr., Darrell Nez, Delbert Nez,
Damon Nez, Jerome Nez, and Rico Secatero.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Chichiltah Chapter
House, following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
