Vivian Cadman
TWIN LAKES Funeral services for Vivian Rose Cadman, 56,
will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Free Trinity Church, Twin
Lakes. The Rev. Dennis Gardener will officiate. Visitation will
be 3-5 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15, at Cope Memorial Chapel.
Cadman died Dec. 9, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Oct. 30,
1952, in Gallup, into the Edge of the Water People Clan for the
Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Cadman attended Gallup High School. She was employed with Wal-Mart
Stores for 15 years. Her hobbies included sewing, writing poems,
painting, and spending time with her granddaughter and family.
She was known for her humor, jovial nature, and her hard work
ethic.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Cadman of Tohlakai; son,
Ryan Cadman of Tohlakai; daughter, Cyrillie Cadman of Albuquerque;
brother, Tulian Brown of Gallup; one grandchild.
Cadman was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Agnes
Brown; sister, Lorraine Brown; grandmother, Nora Watson.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Twin Lakes
Chapter House following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Randy Jeffries
TUCSON Services for Randy Lee Jeffries, 26, will be 1
p.m., Monday, Dec. 15, at Indian Holiness Church, Chambers, Ariz.
The Rev. Joe Merrill will officiate. Burial will be in McCarroll
Cemetery, Chambers. Visitation will be at noon, one hour prior
to services.
Jeffries died Dec. 7, 2008, in Tucson. He was born Feb. 26, 1982,
in Tucson, into the One Who Walks Around People Clan for the Anglo
People Clan.
Jeffries attended school in Clifton, Ariz., and graduated from
high school in Duncan, Ariz. He worked at Navajo Travel Center
in Navajo for several years. He was recently employed with a construction
agency in Tucson. Jeffries enjoyed playing the drums and starting
a band with his brother and friends and being with his children.
Survivors include his wife, Mellisa; son, Azerione Bear Jeffries;
daughters, Miao Yin Lee Jeffries, Rosalisa Maria Edith Jeffries,
Jacqueline Randy Jeffries; parents, Laura Fowler and Michael Fowler;
brother, Michael D. Fowler; sisters, Candace Lynn Jeffries, Crystal
M. Fowler, Morning Rain Rittwager.
Jeffries was preceded in death by his father, Randy Gene Jeffries;
grandmother, Margaret Jeffries; brother, Bear Rittwager.
Pallbearers will be Michael D. Fowler, Kenny Hoover, Arlos Yazzie,
Eric Mitchell, Brandon Daisy, Isaac Roberts.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Indian Holiness
Church-Hall, Chambers, following services.

Lora Slade
FORT WINGATE Funeral services for Lora Lee Slade, 90,
will be 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 15, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints Stake Center, 601 Susan Ave. Bishop Mike Jones will officiate.
Burial will be in Holbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:30
a.m., Dec. 15 at the church.
Slade died Dec. 11, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Oct. 23,
1918, in Kline, Colo.
Slade and her husband lived in Arizona for much of their lives,
where they ran Steamboat and Jeddito Trading Post on the Navajo
reservation. After her husbands death, she moved to Ganado,
where she was the Postmaster of the Ganado Post Office for two
years. She then moved to Provo, Utah, where she was a supervisor
at BYU food services for fifteen years until her retirement. Slade
settled in Fort Wingate where she helped manage the Fort Wingate
Trading Post. She served faithfully in the LDS Church as Relief
Society President, Young Womens President, ward missionary,
Sunday school, and a primary teacher. She enjoyed making home-made
bread, and her own Mexican enchiladas were legendary.
Survivors include her children, Yolanda Landoll of Arizona, Les
Slade of New Mexico, David Slade of Arizona, Terry Slade of New
Mexico, Ruthalin Tate of Indiana; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Les Slade, David Slade, Terry Slade, Kris
Tate, Sean Slade, Devin Slade.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints Stake Center Cultural Hall, following services.
