GALLUP — The building permits issued in November were reflective of the slowing economy. The state Regulation and Licensing Department issued a total of 10 permits, valued at $53,640 last month. The total for the year was over $12 million, making November’s total well below the average.

Six permits were issued for residential additions and alterations. All the permits were valued under $10,000. A single permit for a residential garage was issued, valued at $3,500.

Two permits were issued for commercial additions and alterations with a combined value of $14,500.

A single permit for a demolition was also issued. It was valued at $4,500 for the building at 708 South Ninth Street. The contractor listed for the demolition is 20X Excavation Inc.
