Levi Benally
EL PASO Services are pending for Levi Dean Benally, 19.
Benally died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, in Gallup. He was born
Aug, 23, 1989, in Gallup.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Micah Dick
WHIPPOORWILL, Ariz. Funeral services for Micah Clyde Dick,
14 months, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the family
residence, Whippoorwill. Evangelist Eugene Cody Sr., will officiate.
Burial will be in family plot.
Dick died Nov. 20, 2008, in Chinle. He was born Aug. 28, 2007,
in Phoenix, into the Towering House People Clan for the Coyote
Pass People Clan.
Dick liked playing with his brother and nephews.
He was a happy baby boy.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas and Mildred Dick of Whippoorwill;
brothers, Myron Gene Tsosie of Sawmill, Azrand Thomas Dick of
Whippoorwill; sisters, Thomasita Ann Dick, Thoassa Ann Nez, both
of Whippoorwill; grandparents, Bobby Kayonnie of Blue Gap, Aliceson
Yellowhorse of Whippoorwill, May Dick of Pinon.
Dick was preceded in death by his brother, Walter G. Tsosie;
great-grandfathers, Albert Denezpi, Clyde Dick.
Pallbearers will be Lothario D. Harrison, Jeroy Nez, Michael
H. Dick, Henry H. Dick.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Thomas and Mildred
Dick residence, 3 miles South of Whippoorwill Chapter House.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Elaine James
HOUCK Funeral service for Elaine Leslie James, 76, will
be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, at St. John the Evangelist Church,
Houck. The Rev. Cormac will officiate. Burial will be in the family
plot, Houck. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m., Nov. 26, at the church.
James died Nov. 22, 2008, in Fort Defiance. She was born May
5, 1932, in Ganado, into the Black Sheep People Clan for the One
Who Walks Around People Clan.
James went to school in Sanders. She was a homemaker and enjoyed
sewing and watching sports.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Chee James Sr.; sons, Arnold
Yazzie of Farmington, Leland James of Sanders, Lester James of
Sanders, Lamar James of Querino Canyon, Leighton C. James Sr.
of Albuquerque; daughters, Norma J. Tsosie of Sanders, Erica Woody
of Page, Sharlene Begay of Page, Gail Leslie-Bob of Gallup , Veronica
James of Houck, Verlaine James of Houck; brothers, Henry Leslie
of Whiteriver, Ernest Leslie of Tohatchi, Roger Lynch of Pine
Springs; sisters, Patricia Baldwin of Mesa, Ann Damon of Houck,
Carol Leslie of Phoenix, Ernestine Reeder of St. Michaels; 34
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by her son, Lee James Jr.; parents,
James and Eleanor Leslie; brothers, Richard Leslie, Ambrose Leslie,
Leroy Leslie, Tony Leslie.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Woody, Ivan Begay, OSteen Bob,
Jody Quigley, Gregory Lynch, Dereck Ashley.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Houck Chapter
House, following services.

Carol McCorkey
MEXICAN SPRINGS Funeral services for Carol Ann McCorkey,
44, will be 10 a.m., Nov. 26, at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints Mission, Tohatchi. President William Meyers will officiate.
Burial will be in Lone Pine, Mexican Springs. Viewing will be
9 a.m., Nov. 26, at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mission,
Tohatchi.
McCorkey died Nov. 20, 2008, in Gallup. She was born Oct. 13,
1964, in Crownpoint, into the Start of the Red Streak People Clan
for the Hairy Ones People Clan.
McCorkey attended Crownpoint Elementary, Thoreau Elementary,and
Wingate. She was employed with the Mexican Springs Chapter, and
N.E.C.A. in the past. She enjoyed going to country/western dances,
traveling and going to casinos. McCorkey liked animals and raising
them. She loved being with family and friends and going fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry McCork of Mexican Springs;
daughters, Jerryline McCork of Mexican Springs; brothers, John
Garcia of Crownpoint, Fred Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Ray Garcia,
all of Albuquerque; sisters, Evelyn Largo, Etta Begay of Smith
Lake; two grandchildren.
McCorkey was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Charley Garcia;
father, Andy Garcia.
Pallbearers will be Albert McCork, Marcus Claude, Justin Begaye,
Kensey McCorkey, Terry Garcia, John Garcia.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Mexican Springs
Chapter, following services.

Marilyn Williams
FORT DEFIANCE Services are pending for Marilyn Williams,
42.
Williams died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, in Fort Defiance. She was
born Sept. 13, 1966, in Fort Defiance, into the One Who Walks
Around People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Caroline Wilson
MEXICAN SPRINGS Funeral services for Caroline Habah Wilson,
65, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Christian Reformed
Church, Tohatchi. The Rev. Bobby Boyd will officiate. Burial will
be in Lone Pine Cemetery, Mexican Springs.
Wilson died Nov. 21, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Jan.
5, 1943, in Mexican Springs, into the Edge Water People Clan for
the Black Streak of Forest People Clan.
Wilson went to school at Mexican Springs and Aileen Roat School.
She worked at Old Trademart, Little Bears, and McKinley County
Schools as a cook. Wilson made quilts and some went into museums.
She made furniture at home with upholstery. Wilson was a member
of Living by Faith gospel group.
Survivors include her son, Arnold Wilson of Mexican Springs;
daughter, Karon Wilson of Mexican Springs, Vivian Johnson of Naschitti;
brothers, Leslie Upshaw of Navajo; sisters, Charlene Baca of Tuba
City, Virginia Mares of Ramah; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Wilson; parents,
Haswood and Evelyn Upshaw; sisters, Adeline Brown, Pearl Tsosie;
brother, Lester Upshaw; one grandson.
