Local man caught with crack, pipe Copyright © 2008 GALLUP Terry Hackett, 45, of Gallup, was arrested Sunday, Nov. 9 for possession of crack cocaine, a fourth-degree felony. According to Middle Rio Grande Valley Drug Task Force spokesman Lt. George Justice, Hackett was caught with 1.8 grams of crack, separated into two small plastic bags, and a crack pipe. Justice arrested Hackett, coincidentally, during the execution of an arrest warrant for Daniel Hausner, according to his probable cause statement filed with Magistrate Court. During initial contact Terry Hackett was present, the statement reads. Justice asked Hackett if he could search him and Hackett agreed, saying he had nothing to hide. During the search Justice found the crack pipe and two plastic bags containing an off-white rock substance that appeared to be crack. Hackett was scheduled for a preliminary hearing today. |
