Calvert Beyuka
ALBUQUERQUE Services for Calvert Matthew Beyuka BooBoo,
29, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at First Baptist Church,
Gallup. The Rev. Jay McCollum will officiate. Burial will be in
Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m., today,
Nov. 20, at Rollie Mortuary.
Beyuka died Nov. 16, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 6,
1979, in Rehoboth, into the Towering House People Clan for the
Red Running Into the Water/Frog People Clan.
Beyuka attended Gallup High School and received a certificate
in Culinary Arts from ENMU. He was employed as a laborer/landscaper.
He loved being outdoors, cooking, playing softball, basketball
and hanging out with friends and family.
Survivors include his wife, Elvina Beyuka of Albuquerque; son,
Noah Todacheenie of Page; daughters, Taylor Beyuka, Alizabeth
Beyuka, Abrianne John, Aubrey John, all of Albuquerque; parents,
Mickey and Harriett Beyuka Jr., of Gallup; sister, Rachael Hoskie
of Gallup; grandmother, Rose M. Yazzie of Twin Lakes.
Beyuka was preceded in death by Mickey and Elizabeth Beyuka,
Robert H. Yazzie Sr., Robert H. Yazzie Jr.
Pallbearers will be Warren Bernal, Delvin Grey, Wallace Joe Jr.,
Jarrod Reeves, Jude Reeves, Brett Williams, Tyler Hoskie, Vinnie
Watso.
The family will receive relatives and friends at First Baptist
Church, Gallup, following services.

Peggy Chicharello
GALLUP Services are pending for Peggy Chicharello, 81.
Chicharello died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, in Gallup. She was born
June 26, 1927, in Mentmore, into the Black Streak of Forest People
Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Adrian Dennison
TSAYATOH Funeral services for Adrian Patrick Dennison,
38, will be 1 p.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup.
The Rev. Francis Begay will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup
City Cemetery, Gallup.
Dennison died Nov. 17, 2008, in Gallup. He was born June 16,
1970, in Gallup, into the Black Streak People Clan for the Water
Edge People Clan.
Dennison was self employed as a buffer. His hobbies included
joking with family and friends. He liked fishing, cleaning around
the house and loved to watch his favorite team the 49ers play
and watch wrestling.
Survivors include his brothers, Sylvester Dennison of Gallup,
Lester Dennsion of Tseyatoh, Irvin Dennison of Albuquerque; sister,
Jacqueline James of China Springs; grandmother, Faye Lee of Tseyatoh.
Dennison was preceded in death by his sister, Adrianne Dennison
Begay; grandfather, Paul Lee of Tseyatoh; father, Alonzo Dennison;
mother, Corrina Lee Dennison.
Pallbearers will be Sylvester Dennison, Alonzo Dennison, Adrian
Cleveland, Lester Dennison, Lorenzo Dennison, Leroy Smith.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Tseyahtoh Multi
Purpose Building, following services.

John Horrocks
GALLUP Services are pending for John V. (Jack) Horrocks,
89.
Horrocks died in Gallup. He was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Gallup.
Ethel Hovel
COYOTE CANYON Funeral services for Ethel Jean Hovel, 44,
will be 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup.
Robert Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery,
Gallup.
Hovel died Nov. 15, 2008, in Gallup. She was born June 29, 1964,
in Fort Defiance, into the Honeycomb People Clan for the Bitter
Water People Clan.
Hovel attended Gallup High School, Gallup UNM and graduated with
AS in Business Technology.
She enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking, powwows, rodeos, and
being around family and friends.
Survivors include her sons, Shawn P. Francis of Talequah, Okla.,
Derrick H. Francis of Las Cruses, Michael T. Francis of Tohatchi;
mother, Thelma A. Hovel of Coyote Canyon; brothers, Albert A.
Hovel, Leonard A. Hovel, Phillip Hovel, Walter A. Hovel, all of
Coyote Canyon; sisters, Viola A. Hovel of Coyote Canyon, Velma
R. Lee of Gamerco.
Hovel was preceded in death by Tom H. Hovel.
Pallbearers will be Shawn P. Francis, Derrick H. Francis, Walter
A. Hovel, Tommy A. Hovel, Michael A. Hovel, Robert J. Lee.

Alfred Johnson
NASCHITTI Funeral services for Alfred Herman Johnson,
62, will be 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at St. Anthonys Catholic
Church, Naschitti. Burial will be in Naschitti Community Cemetery.
Johnson died Nov. 17, 2008, in Tohatchi. He was born Aug. 22,
1946, in Naschitti, into the Tangle People Clan for the Waters
Edge People Clan.
Johnson attended Toadlena Boarding School and Albuquerque Indian
School. He worked for Navajo Shopping Center as a cashier for
20 years. He was also employed with the railroad. He enjoyed spending
time with his family and was a rancher.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Johnson of Naschitti; daughter,
Alfreda Johnson of Las Vegas, N.M.; father, John Johnson of Naschitti;
brothers, Tully Johnson of Jones Ranch, Lee Johnson of Buffalo
Springs, Eugene Johnson of Naschitti; sisters, Susie Johnson of
White Horse, Esther Johnson of Naschitti, Marcella Johnson of
Naschitti.
Johnson was preceded in death by his mother, Nita Johnson.

Dennis Martine
RAMAH Services are pending for Dennis Martine, 60.
Martine died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, in Gallup.
He was born June 6, 1948, in Ramah, into the Bitter Water People
Clan for the Ute People Clan.
Kelly Pino
MILAN Graveside services for Kelly Michael Pino, newborn,
will be 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at the Grants Memorial Park.
The Rev. Larry Teshima will officiate.
Pino died Nov. 14, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born Nov. 14,
2008, in Albuquerque.
Survivors include his parents, Andre and Albertha Pino of Milan;
brother, John Pino of Milan; grandparents, Bertha Pino of Pinehill,
Rosie Pino of Grants, Olson Pino of Ramah.

LOWER GREASEWOOD Services for Mary Joe Yazzie, 79, will
be 10 a.m., Friday, Nov. 21, at Our Lady of the Rosary Church,

be in Community Cemetery, Greasewood.
Visitation will be 9 a.m., one hour prior to services.
Yazzie died Nov. 18, 2008, in Fort Defiance. She was born March
12, 1929, in Greasewood, into the Red House People Clan for the
Big Water People Clan.
Yazzie was a homemaker. She was active in the Greasewood Veterans
Administration.
Survivors include his sons, Oscar Yazzie of Phoenix, Xan Tobeck
Gishie of Gilbert; daughter, Priscilla Jimmy of St. Michaels;
brother, Kee John Joe of Lower Greasewood; sisters, Helen Clark,
Erma Lee, both of Greasewood; 12 grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Marcus Leonard, Chris Leonard, Jared Jimmy,
Derrick Jimmy, Elijah Jimmy, Eric Yazzie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Greasewood Chapter
House, following services.
