Mary Analla

CASA BLANCA — Funeral Mass for Mary T. Analla, 92, will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30 at Saint Elizabeth Catholic Church in Paguate, N.M. Father Berard Doerger, OFM, will officiate. Graveside services will follow at Paguate Cemetery in Paguate.

Analla died Friday, Oct. 27 in Casa Blanca. She was born May 8, 1914 in Paguate.

Survivors include sons, Joseph Analla of Ariz., Frank Analla, Jr. of Albuquerque and Bernard Analla of Paguate; daughters, Evelyn Analla of Paguate and Thelma Hoffman of San Diego, Calif.; sister, Carmel Kanuho of Casa Blanca; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Analla was preceded in death by husband, Frank Analla, Sr.; parents, Edward Stokes and Marcella Esidro-Stokes.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.


Betty Elson

GRANTS — Graveside services for Betty J. Elson, 86, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 at Sunset Cemetery in Willcox, Ariz.

Elson died Friday, Oct. 27 in Grants. She was born April 30, 1920 in Bend, Ore.

Elson owned and operated a grocery store in Grants.

Survivors include daughters, Vicki Crawford of Grants and Terri Malaska of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Elson was preceded in death by husband, Robert Benjamin Elson; parents, Glenn Warren Mallery and Etta Mabel Hickman-Mallery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.


Phillip Jackson

TEESTO, Ariz. — Services for Phillip Chee Jackson, 99, were 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 in Teesto. Graveside services will follow and pastor Johnny Nells will officiate.

Jackson died Oct. 24 in Winslow into the Salt People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Jackson was a healer and he was involved in ceremonies. His hobbies include ranching and training horses.

Survivors include sons, Jack C. Jackson of Window Rock, Melvin Jackson of Window Rock, Orvis Jackson of Cornfields and Alex Jackson of Window Rock; daughters, Emma Clark, Maggie Scott, Laura Jackson, Elvira Jackson and Phyllis Jackson, all of Teesto, Eva Ramirez of Springer, N.M., Ella C. Jackson of Gallup, Sally Tallsalt of Fort Defiance, Geneva Tsosie of St. Michaels, Carrie Marie Bulary of San Diego, Calif.; 49 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

Jackson was preceded in death by sons, Dean Chee Jackson and Phillip Sr.; daughter, Elsie Jackson.

A reception followed at the Jackson home in Teesto.
