Philip Trujillo
GALLUP Funeral sevices for Philip Alfonso Trujillo, 49, will
be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at St. Francis Church. A rosary will be
recited at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at St. Francis Church.
Trujillo died Sept. 30 in Gallup. He was born on April 6, 1957 in Embudo.
Trujillo worked as a heavy equipment operator for the state of New Mexico.
He also managed Gentry Finance. He enjoyed fixing old cars, fishing,
hunting and spending time with family.
Trujillo is survived by his wife, Marlene Trujillo of Gallup; son, Henry
Trujillo of Gallup; daughter, Frances Trujillo of Gallup; parents, Alfonso
and Frances Trujillo of Albuquerque; brothers, Toby Trujillo of Albuquerque
and Tom Duran of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Olivia Trujillo of Albuquerque;
grandparent, Anna Martinez of Albuquerque.
The family will meet at Cathedral Family Center immediately after the
services.
Charles Smith
RED ROCK, N.M. Funeral services for Charles Smith Sr., 88, will
be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Rev. Darrellson
J. Begay will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Smith died Oct. 5 in Gallup. He was born June 1, 1918 in Red Rock, N.M.
into the Black Streak of Forest People Clan and for the Red Running
into Water People Clan.
Smith attended Fort Wingate Boarding School. He was retired from Navajo
Nation ONEO, United Nuclear Mine, Union Pacific Railroad and landscaping.
His hobbies include watching movies, playing with grandchildren and
doing carpentry work.
Survivors include wife, Edith B. Smith of Twin Lakes; sons, Randy H.
Boyd of Red Rock and Charles Smith Jr. of Twin Lakes; daughters, Louise
S. Yazzie of Rock Springs, N.M., Ora Ann Begay of Lake Valley, N.M.
and Elaine Bahe of Yatahey; brothers, Bob Smith of Red Rock and Tom
Begay of Twin Buttes; sisters, Minnie Woody and Helen Plummer both of
Red Rock; 20 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great
grandchildren.
Smith was preceded in death by parents, Charley Smith and Alice James;
first wife, Elsie Smith; brothers, Freddie Smith and Bennie Smith; sisters,
Addie Jack and Elsie Fred.
Pallbearers will be Randy Boyd, Charles Smith Jr., Leonard Begay Sr.,
Brannon Bahe, Bob Smith and Marty Skeets.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Nellie Jack
TWIN BUTTES Services for Nellie Ann Jack, 47, will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Bob Hubert will officiate.
Burial will follow at Gallup City Cemetery.
Jack died Oct. 6 in Gallup. She was born Nov. 12, 1958 in Twin Buttes
into the Black Streak Forest People Clan for the Bitter Water People
Clan.
Jack attended Thoreau Elementary and Wingate High School. She was employed
with Comfort Inn. Her hobbies include weaving, beading, cooking and
being with family.
Survivors include sons, Karl B. Jack and Cordero B. Jack both of Twin
Buttes; brother, Sammy Jack of Twin Buttes; sisters, Marie John, Irene
Jack, Betty Jack, Lena John, Rosie Yazzie and Sylvia Jack all of Twin
Buttes.
Jack was preceded in death by her father, Billy John Jack and mother,
Addie Smith Jack.
Pallbearers will be Karl B. Jack, Ervin Garcia, Albert John, Cordero
B. Jack, Marvin Jack and Alexander Dixon.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 555 Crestview Rd.,
Twin Buttes.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Gilbert J. Livingston
CHURCH ROCK Services for Gilbert J. Livingston, 41, will be
announced at a later date.
Livingston died Friday, Oct. 6 in Albuquerque. He was born Jan. 25,
1965 into the Meadow People Clan for the Black Streak of Forest People
Clan.
The family will meet 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9 at the Church Rock Chapter
House.
