Silverstre Sanchez, III

ST. MICHAELS — Services for Silverstre Sanchez, III, 33, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Father Gilbert Schneider, OFM, will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Michaels Community Cemetery.

Viewing will be 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25.

Sanchez died Nov. 21 in Fort Defiance. He was born Oct. 4, 1973 in Albuquerque into the Salt People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Sanchez a Window Rock High School graduate and was a member of the wrestling team. He attended TVI in Albuquerque. His hobbies include free-style biking, skateboarding, drawing, dancing, tattooing and customizing vehicles.

Survivors include; daughter, Tynisha Semone Jesus of Fort Defiance mother, Judy Ann Martinez of Albuquerque; brother, Anthony Sanchez of Albuquerque; sisters, Ralphalita Joe of Gallup, Michelle B. Yazzie and Terrie L. Johnson, both of St. Michaels; one grandchild.

Sanchez was preceded in death by father, Silverstre Sanchez, II; brothers, Thomas E. Johnson and Johnny P. Sanchez; great-grandparents, Mary Jane Johnson and Billy O'Dell; sister, Sheila Sanchez.

Pallbearers will be Robert Westbrook, Aaron Ross, Homer Ashley, Jr., Taylor Johnson, Bart Ashley and Timothy Ashley, Jr.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Arlin Thomas

PINE SPRINGS, Ariz. — Services for Arlin L. Thomas, 35, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at St. Johns the Evangelist Church in Houck. Father Cormac Antram, OFM will officiate. Burial will follow at the family plot in Pine Springs, Ariz.

Thomas died Nov. 8 in Phoenix. He was born March 30, 1971 in Gallup into the Mexican People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Thomas attended Sanders Public Schools, Window Rock High School and graduated from Valley High School in 1991. He was employed with Kovach, Inc. Construction. His hobbies include fishing, camping, hiking, watching sports and spending time with family.

Survivors include his son, Orlando Nelson; parents, Art, Sr. and Charoltte Thomas; brothers, Art Thomas, Jr., Aaron, Arick, Ardell, Arben, Arvin and Arlando Thomas; sisters, Valerie Murphy, Arlene Thomas, Arlinda Thomas Fatty, Arrinda Thomas, Armanda Thomas and Ariannia Thomas; grandparents, Sam Sr. and Betty J. Wauneka.

Thomas was preceded in death by grandparents, Joe and Yilnabah Thomas.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Henderson, Jr., Ronnie Wauneka, Thomas James, Jayson Logg, Jared Logg and Harold Matt.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Houck Chapter House following the burial.


Howard Lewis, Sr.

WHITE CONE, Ariz. — Services for Howard Bahe Lewis, Sr., 48, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25 at the Hallelujah Canyon Church in White Cone. Reverend Edison Belin will officiate. Burial will follow at the family plot in White Cone.

Lewis died Nov. 17 in Lancaster, Calif. He was born Feb. 23, 1958 in Fort Defiance into the Tobacco People Divison of Red Running into Water Clan for the Honey Combed People Clan.

Lewis attended Tuba City High School. He was employed as a silversmith, maintenance man and was self employed doing art and wood carving. His hobbies included artwork and going fishing with family.

Survivors include wife, Kristi Lewis of Lancaster, Calif.; sons, Durwood Lewis and Howard Lewis, Jr., both of Moriarty, N.M.; daughter, Heather Lewis of Moriarity; father, Kee Bahe Lewis of Steamboat; brothers, Stanley Lewis of Vanderwagen and Lawrence Lewis of Winslow; sisters, Loretta Mutine, Linda Bahe and Charlene Multine, all of White Cone and Rosita Lewis of Sanders; and two grandchildren.

Lewis was preceded in death by hismother, Pauline M. Lewis and grandmother, Bernice Marshall.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Lewis, Steven Lane, Victor Lewis, Larson Multine, Elson Multine and Erickson Bahe.
