Carol Reynolds

SAWMILL, Ariz. — Funeral services for Carol J. Reynolds, 62, were at 10 a.m. Monday, May 8 at Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament in Ft. Defiance, Ariz. Father Gilprin will officiate. Visitation was at 9 a.m. Monday, May 8. Interment was at the family plot in Sawmill.

Reynolds died Wednesday, May 3 in Ft. Defiance, Ariz. She was born on Nov. 23, 1942, in Ft. Defiance, Ariz., into the Big Water People Clan and for the Tangle People Clan.

Reynolds was a 42-year employee of the BIA and was active in the Federal Women's Program. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoyed playing Bingo.

Reynolds is survived by her son, Lennie Reynolds Jr., and her daughter, Lynette K. Reynolds.

Reynolds was preceded in death by her husband, Lennie R. Reynolds; father, James Francisco; mother, Mary A. Francisco; brothers, Franklin Francisco, Jimmy Francisco, Nelson Francisco and Robert Price Sr.

Pallbearers will be Robert Price Jr., Lennie Reynolds Jr., Kenneth C. Watchman, Leonard Watchman, Gil R. Sandoval and Irvin Upshaw.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Sawmill, Ariz.


Betty Phillip

PINON, Ariz. — Funeral services for Betty Phillip, 79, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9 at the Hardrock Navajo Gospel Mission. Pastor Albert Nez will officiate. Interment will be at the Hardrock Community Cemetery.

Phillip died Friday, May 5, in Chinle, Ariz. She was born June 2, 1926, in Pinon, Ariz.

Phillip was a life-long resident of Pinon, Ariz. She was a rug weaver and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Phillip is survived by her son, Kee Joe Phillip, and daughter, Grace P. Shonie.

Phillip was preceded in death by her husband, Kee Tso Phillip; sisters, Lou Y. Begay, June Yonnie, Nagli Bima Ethel Phillips, Asan Gene Cowboy and Hazel Cap; brothers, Yazzie L. Yazzie and Jimmy Chase.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the family residence eight miles south of Pinon.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Alfred Perry

ST. MICHAELS, Ariz. — Funeral services for Alfred N. Perry Jr., 77, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Father Gilbert Schneider, O.F.M. will officiate. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup. A reception at 503 Amethyst St. in Gamerco will follow the burial service.

Perry died on Saturday, May 6, in Ft. Defiance, Ariz. He was born on July 6, 1928 in Rehoboth, N.M. into the Red Running into Water People Clan and for the Towering House People Clan.

Perry is survived by his wife, Ella Rose Perry, St. Michaels; mother, Martha D. Perry, Gamerco; sons, Michael Notah, Anthony Perry, Virgil Wyaco Jr., all of St. Michaels; daughter, Marlene R. Perry, St. Michaels; brothers, David L. Perry, Gamerco; Joseph L. Perry, Cornfields; Raymond Perry, Albuquerque; sisters, Linda R. Lee, Albuquerque; Beatrice E. Perry, Shiprock; Evangeline Perry and Josephine Perry, Gamerco.

Perry was preceded in death by his father, Alfred N. Perry Sr. and mother, Evelyn Perry.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Jennie Yurkovich

GALLUP — Funeral services are pending for Jennie M. Yurkovich, 90.

Yurkovich died Thursday, May 4, in Gallup. She was born on Oct. 24, 1915 in Allison, N.M.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Jack Starkovich

GALLUP — Funeral services are pending for Jack J. Starkovich, 81.

Starkovich died Friday, May 5, in Gallup. He was born on June 2, 1924, in Mentmore, N.M.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
