Taxi accident: A Gallup Police Officer tries to help a man secure
the door on a taxi late Saturday night in the El Dorado Restaurant parking
lot. A blue truck side swiped the taxi as it was stopped dropping off
its passengers. One of the passengers was getting out of the taxi when
the truck came by and hit his leg and almost took the taxi's door with

Going To The Dogs And Cats: Bryce Balok, 2, of Gallup

Going Up Again:
Luther Paul changes the gasoline and diesel fuel prices on the sign
in front of the Fina gas station in Window Rock recently. Across the
border in New Mexico, Gallup was listed as having the highest fuel
costs in the state. According to the American Automobile Association's
most recent listings, the average price for a gallon of unleaded gas
in Gallup was $2.517, which is an increase of more than 22 percent
over a year ago. Las Cruces had the lowest average at $2.32. [Photo
