Virginia Gasparich
GALLUP A Rosary and Mass for Virginia Nell Gasparich, 81, will
be at 10 a.m., today, March 14 at St. Francis of Assisi in Gallup. Fr.
Jerry, OFM will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Gasparich died March 9 in Gallup. She was born April 6, 1924 in Shouns,
Tenn.
Survivors include her son Steven Gasparich of Lake Oswego, Ore.; daughters,
Mary Ann Holland of Danville, Calif., Linda Padilla of Gallup; sisters,
Carolyn Bortot of Gallup and Nancy Wall of Gallup; brother, Robert Koosis
of Gallup, and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matt G. Kasparich; parents,
Joseph Koosis and Edna Mae Koosis and one daughter, Beverly J. Hug.
Pallbearers will be Terry Bortot, Tom Holland, Bill Lewis, Don Padilla,
Billy Wall and Mike Wilson.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Pauline Thayer
GRANTS Funeral services for Pauline "Polly" Thayer,
82 will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at the First United Methodist
Church in Grants, 510 North First Street. Pastor Ruben Thomas will officiate.
Graveside services and interment will follow at the Grants Memorial
Park. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today, March 14 at the Grants
Mortuary and 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at the First United
Methodist Church in Grants.
Thayer died on March 9 in Albuquerque. She was born on Dec. 6, 1923
in Timbo, Ark. Thayer had been a resident of Grants since 1959. She
was a homemaker and a seamstress, who enjoyed quilting, sewing, needlepoint
and arts and crafts.
Survivors include her son, Darrell Adams of Prewitt; daughter, Judy
Adams of Garden Grove, Calif.; brother, Ramond Ingram of Des. Arc.,
Ark.; sister, Pansy Helgin of Conway, Ark.; six grandchildren; eight
great grandchildren.
Thayer was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin "Red"
Thayer; parents, Robert Ingram and Rose Coble Ingram; son, James Adams;
two brothers; six sisters; one grandson and one granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be John Lester, Tom Adams, Brad Latham, Charles Clark,
Don Sanchez and Ronald Morris.
Grants Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Louise M. Roland
GRANTS Funeral services for Louise M. Roland, 90 will be at
10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 17 at the Grace Baptist Church in Milan,
717 Aspen Drive. Rev. Dale Thatcher will officiate. Cremation and interment
of remains will be at a later date at the Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens
in Kansas City, Kan.
Roland died on March 10 in Grants. She was born on June 2, 1915 in Linwood,
Kan. Roland moved to Milan, 12 years ago from Kansas City and moved
to Grants Good Samaritan Center three years ago. She had been employed
at the University of Kansas Medical Center as the supervisor of housekeeping
for twenty years. She attended Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include
her sons, Joseph Roland of Milan and John Roland of Waycross, Ga.; five
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Roland was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Hedrick and Ellen
Sisco Hedrick; brother, Raymond Hedrick.
Grants Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Esta R. Harrison
GRANTS Funeral services are pending for Esta R. Harrison, 76.
Harrison died on March 11 in Grants. He was born on June 10, 1929 in
Beckley, W. Va.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Jeanette Manuelito
TOHATCHI Funeral services are pending for Jeanette Manuelito,
77.
Manuelito died on March 13 in Albuquerque. She was born on July 27,
1928 in Tohatchi into the Bitter Water Clan for the Towering House Clan.
