Edward Munoz, Sr.

GALLUP — Funeral service for Edward Munoz, Sr., 78 will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 6 at the Red Rock State Park. Pastor Bill Overton will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 at the Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel.

Munoz died on March 1 in Gallup. He was born on July 21, 1927 in Rio Puerco, NM. Edward attended and graduated from Gallup High School. He joined the Merchant Marines at the age of 16 and served in the US Army during WWII. He married Margaret in 1952 and celebrated 54 years of marriage. Edward was a politician and served as Mayor of Gallup for 16 years. He served five terms as Chairman with the NM Game and Fish Department. He was a conservationist and avid hunter. His hobbies included fishing, boating, horsemanship and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Munoz of Gallup; daughters, Consuelo Bennot of Nashville, TN, Teresa Munoz of Silver City, NM, Elizabeth Munoz-Hamilton of Gallup, Kathryn Munoz-Hush of Tucson, AZ; sons, Edward J. Munoz Jr. of Aztec, NM and George Munoz of Gallup; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Munoz was preceded in death by his parents, Eduardo and Blaza Munoz; sisters, Consuelo Lyles and Frances Mundt; brothers, Raymond Munoz and Santiago Munoz.

Pallbearers will be Adam Bennot, Ben Bennot, Ethan Bennot, Melody Bennot, Edward Mazel, Michael Mazel, Edward Munoz, IV, Matthew Munoz and Meisha Woods.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holiday Inn after services.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice in the name of Edward Munoz.

Charles Martinelli

GALLUP — Funeral mass for Charles L. Martinelli, 78 will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 6 at the Sacred Heart Cathedral. Very Rev. Lawrence J. O'Keefe will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Gallup. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 5 at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel.

Martinelli died on March 1 in Gallup. He was born on March 11, 1927 in Gallup. Charles served in the U.S. Navy beginning in July of 1944, until May of 1946. After a three-year masonry apprenticeship in Albuquerque, he returned to Gallup to work on many commercial and residential projects. In 1957, together with his brother Frank, Charles formed Martinelli Construction Co. in 1964, they purchased the old Country Club Golf course and began development of Martinelli Estates, eventually building 32 homes. Chares was also a trapshooter and amateur gunsmith. In 1991, he was the first shooter to be inducted into the NM Trapshooting Hall of Fame. in 1994, as a Veteran, he was selected to the National All-American Trapshooting Team. Charles won 20 NM state championship titles and 12 over-all NM championship titles.

Survivors include his wife Peggy Martinelli of Gallup; son, David Martinelli of Denver, Colo.; daughter, Patricia Martinelli of Pineville, La; brother, Frank Martinelli of Gallup; one grand-daughter.

Martinelli was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Martinelli; daughter, Cheryl Martinelli.

Pallbearers will be Leonard Fellin, Dennis Martinelli, Joe Martinelli, William "Rusty" Martinelli, Joe Milo and Jack Tarro.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Family Center following the burial service.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Beverly Ebright

ALBUQUERQUE — A private service for Beverly J. Loe Ebright, 56 will be announced at a later date in Albuquerque. Cremation has taken place.

Ebright died on Feb. 27 in Albuquerque. She was born on April 21, 1949 in Gallup.

Survivors include her daughter, Jodi Montano; mother, Joan Loe Civetti of Gallup; brothers, Dr. Fred Loe of Dallas, Texas, William Loe of Elko, Nev., and David Civetti of Albuquerque; sisters, Diane Marz of New Orleans, LA, Tamara Peterson of Gallup and Donna Small of Port St. Lucie, Fla; two grandchildren.

Ebright was preceded in death by her father, Dr. John W. Loe; brother, Craig Civetti.


Joe Tsosie Jr.

BREADSPRINGS — Funeral services for Joe Tsosie Jr., 40 will be at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7 at the Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington. Jake Yazzie Jr. will officiate. Burial will be on a family plot in Breadsprings, NM. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 6 at the Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington.

Tsosie died on Feb. 28 in Breadsprings. He was born on Aug. 31, 1966 in Shiprock. He attended elementary at Dzilth Elementary School, Mesa Elta, Bloomfield High School and UNM Gallup Branch. He held various jobs in Farmington, Phoenix, Denver, Albuquerque and Gallup. His hobbies were playing sports, camping, hiking, cooking outdoors, chopping wood and painting. His favorite movie was Lonesome Dove

Survivors include his wife, Elvira Pinto Tsosie of Breadsprings; sons, Kendrick Tsosie and Jerimiah Tsosie, both of Breadsprings; daughters, Judy Tsosie, Carlene Tsosie, and Rachel June Tsosie, all of Breadsprings; father, Joe Tsosie Sr.; sisters, Ernestine Tsosie of Phoenix, JoAnne Barber, Brenda T. Garnanez and Bertha Tsosie, all of Farmington.

Tsosie was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Tsosie; sister, Christien Tsosie; brother, Jim Tsosie; grandparents, Steven and Marie Canuto.

Pallbearers will be Virgil Canuto, TullyCanuto, Calvin Canuto, Lorenzo Garnanez, Gilbert Pino and Chavez Livingston.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Breadsprings Chapter House following burial service.


Lena Eriacho

RAMAH — Funeral services for Lena Eriacho, 40 will be at 10 a.m., today, March 4 at the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church in Ramah. Allen Lewis, Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in Ramah.

Eriacho died on Feb. 28 in Pine Hill. She was born on October 1 1965 in Zuni. She completed high school, was a cashier, cook, a loving mother and a housewife.

Survivors include her sons, Lathan B. Charley and Bryan M. Charley; daughters, Jolena Lee and Joelynn Lee; mother, Katherine M. Eriacho; brothers, Robertson Eriacho, Robert Eriacho and Kenny Eriacho; sisters, Irene E. Charley, Rebecca E. Garcia, Alta Baulderma and Katie Eriacho; one grandchild.

Eriacho was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Eriacho; grandparents, Tom Kee Maria and Dorothy P. Maria.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Eriacho, Michael Eraicho, Ned Garcia, Frankie Charley, Kenny Eriacho, Marvin Kelsey, Robert Eriacho and Leo Garcia.


Rena Shorty Plummer

PREWITT — Funeral services for Rena Shorty Plummer, 55 will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 6 at the Jesus Chirst of Latter Day Saints Church. Bishop Kuman Adams will officiate. Burial will be at the Thoreau Community Cemetery. Visitation will be at 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

Plummer died on March 1 in Gallup. She was born on July 17, 1950 in Crownpoint into the Salt People Clan for the Two People Came to Water Clan. Her hobbies were rug-weaving, silversmithing, and arts and crafts.

Survivors include his sons, Lawrence Platero and Virgil Plummer both of Prewitt, Gerald Plummer of Navajo and Earl Plummer of Thoreau; daughter, Rhonda Plummer Acoff of Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, Lee Shorty of Prewitt and Benny Pablo of Milan; sisters Mary Ann Werito of Prewitt and Rose Shorty of Milan; nine grandchildren.

Plummer was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Plummer; parents, Elizabeth and Herbert Shorty; grandparents, Joe Long-Platero and Rena Long and Anna and John Shorty.

Pallbearers will be Virgil Plummer, Lee Shorty, Lawrence Platero, Timson Werito, Donnel Acoff and Benny Pablo.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Baca Chapter following funeral services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
