Paul Lee
TSEYATOH Services for Paul Lee, 85, will be 2 p.m., Friday,
June 23 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Ted Farris will officiate. Burial
will follow at Gallup City Cemetery.
Lee died June 18 in Tse Ya Toh. He was born Aug. 21, 1920 in Mentmore
into the Towering House People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Lee was employed as a coal miner and the railroad. He was a member of
the N.A.C. His hobbies included ranching, training horses and bronc
riding.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Tom Lee; sons, Martinez Lee of Casamero
Lake and Raymond Lee of Gallup, George Lee and Bobby Lee both of Tse
Ya Toh; daughters, Brenda Yazzie of Yah Ta Hey, Marjorie Smith, Pauline
Lee and Caroline Lee all of Tse Ya Toh; 36 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Lee; daughter, Corrina Dennison;
parents, Charlie and Elizabeth Lee; sister, Alice Lee Kee; and brothers,
John Wilson, Albert Lee and Jimmy Lee.
Pallbearers will be Erick Cadman, Lester Dennison, Irvin Dennison, Ferland
Lee, Thomas Begay and Raymond Lee.
The family will receive friends and relatives after the burial services
at Paul and Faye Lee's residence.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Emerson Begaye
SPRINGSTEAD Services for Emerson Y. Begaye, 54, will be 10 a.m.,
Friday, June 23 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Gallup
City Cemetery.
Begaye died June 17 in Gallup. He was born March 18, 1952 in Fort Defiance,
Ariz. into the Two That Came to the Water People Clan for the Tangle
People Clan.
Begaye graduated from Wingate High School in 1972. He was employed as
a silversmith, ranch hand in Colorado and the Kerr McKee Mine. His hobbies
included cooking, crossword puzzles and doing mechanic work.
Survivors include his sons, Brian and Shawn Begaye of Iyanbito; daughter,
Vanessa Martin of Yah Ta Hey; Edward Y. Begaye of Chinle, Ariz.; and
three grandchildren.
Begaye was preceded in death by parents, Freddie Y. Begaye and Francis
Billie; brothers, James Begaye and Harry Begaye; sisters, Betty Arviso
and Lucy John.
Pallbearers will be Lance Ortiz, Emerson Martin, Larry Brown, Edison
Begay, Gerald Bitsuie and Dennison Begaye.
The family will receive friends and relatives after the burial services
at Church Rock Chapter House.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Manuel Francis
IYANBITO Services for Manuel Francis, 43,will be Friday, June
23
Francis died June 17 in Gallup. He was born Dec. 30, 1962 in Iyanbito.
Survivors include his daughters, Eulanda Francis of Tohatchi, Sheldon
Francis of Pinon, Ariz., Marcella Francis and Francine Francis both
of Tuba City, Ariz., Manuel Francis Jr. and Makayla Francis, both of
Naschitti, Monte Francis and Mya Francis, both of Crystal, Jessica Smith
and Jill Smith, both of Gamerco; sisters, Pauline Vrooman of Iyanbito,
Irene Francis and Treva Francis, both of Phoenix; brothers, Albin Largo
and Gary Francis, both of Iyanbito.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Iris Willis Francis.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Ella Mae Cameron
VALLEY SPRINGS, Calif. Services for Ella Mae Cameron, will be
announced at a later date.
Cameron died June 18 in Lodi, Calif. She was born into the Towering
House People Clan for the Water that Flows Together People Clan.
A family meeting will be at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, June 22 at Rock Springs
Chapter House.
Jennie Tolth
LUDLOW Services for Jennie Tolth, 49, will be announced at a
later date.
Tolth died June 21 in Gallup. She was born May 25, 1957 in Colorado
Springs, Colo.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Rita J. Largo
GALLUP Services for Rita J. Largo, 73, will be announced at
a later date.
Largo died June 20 in Gallup. She was born Jan. 3, 1933 in Smith Lake
for the Two Who Came to the Water People Clan for the Towering House
People Clan.
