Kee Yazzie Montoya
THOREAU Services for Kee Y. Montoya, 51, will be 11 a.m., Monday,
July 31 at Rollie Mortuary. Burial will follow at Gallup City Cemetery.
Montoya died July 27 in Albuquerque. He was born Sept. 27, 1954 in Torreon
into the Mud People Clan for the Tangle People Clan.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Montoya of Thoreau; sons, Kee Ross
Montoya of Thoreau, Merle Montoya of Mexican Springs, Melvin Montoya
and Marvin Montoya both of Phoenix; daughters, Miranda Loley and Samantha
Montoya, both of Thoreau; parents, Ethel P. Montoya and Joe N. Montoya
Sr., both of Pinon Springs; sisters, Marilyn George of Albuquerque,
Alyce Johnson of To'lagai, Joelyn Martin, Evelyn Montoya and Ethelyn
Peshlakai, all of Pinon Springs, Annie Lovato, Evelyn Montoya and Betty
Wood, all of Torreon, Mary Woody of Ojo Encino; brothers, Joe Montoya
of Pinon Springs, Palito Montoya and Phillip Montoya, both of Torreon;
and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be KeeRoss Montoya, Merle Montoya, Palito Montoya,
Phillip Montoya, Joe Montoya Jr. and Brandon Yazza.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Beatrice Moore
GRANTS Services for Beatrice Moore, 82, will be 2 p.m., Monday,
July 31 at Compassion Mortuary. Pastor Tom Taylor will officiate. Burial
will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
Moore died July 27 in Albuquerque. She was born Aug. 24, 1923 in Akron,
Ohio.
Survivors include her husband, Gleen E. Moore of Grants; children, Margaret
E. Carey of Union Town, Ohio, Glenda Sue Augenstein of Grants, Richard
E. Moore of Shelbyville, Tenn., Judith K. Ziegler of Hellertown, Penn.;
sisters, Martha Roby, Mary Kelly and Bernice Pletcher all of Akron;
brother, Boyd King of Akron; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Noah F. King and Flossie
Meadows King, three brothers and two sisters.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Ermenia Santiago
GALLUP Services for Ermenia Santiago, 89, will be 10 a.m., Monday,
July 31 at St. Francis Church. Father Jerry will officiate.
Santiago died July 22 in Albuquerque. She was born July 3, 1917 in Juanato,
Mexico.
Santiago was employed with the schools in the Navajo and Gibson Mining
Camps, the railroad, restaurants and Sigs' Bar. Her hobbies included
cooking and decorating.
Survivors include her sons, Pedro Franco of Page, Ariz., Jimmy and Valentino
Santiago of Gallup; brother, Ruben Gonzales of Gallup; sisters, Carmen
Rhales of Whittier, Calif., Aurora Espinoza, Loretta Torrez, both of
Gallup, Jesse Cota of Los Angeles, Calif.,and Lupe Merrell of Del Rio,
Texas; 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Santiago was preceded in death by her Joe and Breathea Gonzales, Esperanza
Espinosa, daughter, Antonio Franco; brother, Pete Franco and Raymond
Gonzales; and sister, Mary Romero.
Pallbearers will be Alex, Raymond, Jimmy, Ernie and Greg Santiago, John
Espinosa, Gabriel Lara and David Johnson.
Donations can be made to the Heart Foundation.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Harvey Sr
MANUELITO Services for Mary Harvey Sr., 72, will be announced
at a later date.
Havey Sr. died July 27 in Manuelito. He was born July 5, 1934 in Lukachukai,
Ariz. into the Big Water People Clan for the Red House People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
