Alfred Sandoval
PUEBLO PINTADA Services for Alfred Sandoval, 63, will be held
at 12 noon on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at the Tinian Baptist Church in Torreon.
Rose Ignacio will officiate. Burial will be on family land in Pueblo
Pintado. Visitation will be held today, Jan at 7 p.m. in Gallup at the
Cope Memorial Chapel.
Sandoval died on Jan 19 in Downey, Calif. He was born on Oct. 16, 1942
in Pueblo Alto into the Mexican People Clan for the Towering House People
Clan.
Sandoval attended the Intermountain Inter-Tribal School in Brigham City.
He spent 32 years as a welder having worked for Alloy Spot Welders in
Los Angles and he also worked on space shuttle parts.
Survivors include his wife Ramona Sandoval; son; Willie Sandoval II;
daughters, Elizabeth Sandoval-Mora, Margaret Medina; mother, Nettie
Sandoval; brothers, Emerson, Ernest, Curtis, Eddie; sisters, Emma, Christine,
Lucy, Esther; grandparents, Julian Jake, Sr., Victor Sandoval; seven
grandchildren.
Sandoval was preceded in death by his, father, Willie Sandoval; and
son Walter John Sandoval.
Pallbearers will be Willie Sandoval, II, Joseph Castaneda, Miguel Mora,
Joel Mora, Eugene Ramone, Alex Sandoval.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Pueblo Pintado
Chapter House.
Donations may be made to the Tinian Baptist Church.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Marjie T. Wagon
CHINLE, Ariz. Funeral services for Marjie T. Wagon, 82, will
be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church,
Chinle. Father Blaine, O.F.M. Interment will follow in the Chinle community
cemetery.
Wagon died Jan. 21 in Albuquerque. She was born Aug. 1923 in Low Mountain
into the Red Running into the Water People Clan.
Wagon was a homemaker and rug weaver.
Survivors include her sons, Ben Yazzie of Low Mountain; daughters, Marie
Saltwater, Irene James both of Chinle, Louise Sandoval of Torreon, N.M.;
31 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren.
Wagon was preceded in death by her husband, Hosteen Lowwagon; daughters,
Dorothy Tsosie and Etta Begay.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Saltwater, Cornelius Yazzie, Jonah Begay,
Orlando Yazzie, Thomas Yazzie, Jr. and Gregory Yazzie.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Chinle Catholic
Hall.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Leo Johnson
GLENDALE, Ariz. Funeral services for Leo Jay Johnson, 66, are
pending and will be announced at a later date.
Johnson died Jan. 18 in Mesa, Ariz. He was born May 5, 1939 in Tohlakai
into the Edge Water People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
