GALLUP — Parents can spend an entertaining afternoon with their children this Saturday while helping to support a good cause.

Magician Robert Long's "Show of Wonders with Chainsaws and Ragdolls and Tricks, Oh My!"is a family-friendly show featuring magic, illusions, escapes, and comedy. The event is being sponsored by Gallup's Ups and Downs Relay For Life Team and is a fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society.

Long's "Show of Wonders" will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 1800 Red Rock Dr. The 90 minute show includes Long's "Box-O-Death," the "Traveling Die," and his "Ragdoll Levitation."

Long brings unique and original magic tricks and illusions that audiences won't see in other shows. In a 2001 competition sponsored by the Brotherhood of Magicians in 2001, Long's show was ranked in the top ten for unique and wacky magic acts.
