Christine L. Ashley

GRANTS — Funeral services for Christine L. Ashley, 51, will be today, Jan. 2, at 5 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Pastor Ruben Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. today at Compassion Mortuary.

Ashley died Dec. 29 in Grants. She was born April 13, 1954, in Japan.

Ashley was an educator at NMSU-Grants.

Survivors include her husband, H. Vincent Ashley of Grants; son, Vince Ashley of Pana, Ill.; mother, Anna Marie Parks Ayres of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren.

Ashley was preceded in death by her father, William Ayres; brother, Randal Ayres; sister, Marsha France.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Burnell Hubbard

GANADO — Funeral services are pending for Burnell Hubbard, 94.

Hubbard died Jan. 1 in Ganado. He was born April 12, 1911.
